Shot Caller was awesome.. And if you like Shot Caller you like Felon who has the same writer and director.

  1. I'm not sure who the Canucks NCAA target is, but this big righty looks appealing:

I'd say his no-name program is the only thing holding him back.

Wow 6'2", 205 lbs, almost point/ game guy.

To add him after a Hobey Baker finalist would be a coup.  Wonder if he'd go in round 1 in a draft?

Wow sounds like Jacob Trouba.  Get it done JB!

  2. Man, if the NHL ends up cancelling tomorrow, the Canucks would be outside the playoffs. That would suck tremendously.

@Pears and LITERALLY by a hair... ours is .565% vs. theirs which is .564%. Good freaking grief.

    3. Nicklas Bo Hunter

      Nicklas Bo Hunter

not really it would actually be better for us. they would just delay the season... Markstrom and tanev would get back for important games. I also feel like if they do delay it then the NHL should open a window for RFA's like Tryamkin, Puljarvi... etc to sign with their teams. and maybe even open up  another trade window.

      goalie13

@Ossi Vaananen I see what you're getting at now.  I thought you meant cancelling the whole thing.  In which case, it would be better to be sitting outside the playoffs and eligible for the draft lottery.

  3. A win and some help in the out-of-town scoreboard and the Canucks are back in the 70s:

Columbus is tough...the only thing saving the Oilers last night was Koskinen.  We're not the only team that relies on goaltending it seems....Columbus had that game until their goaltender failed to match up.

That's not great but if you asked the average CDC member they would probably guess something like 20% at this point.

That honestly strikes me as optimisic.

That said, prior to the start of the season, I would've had us at about 40 or 45%.

  5. Any chance Clarke's coaching turns Domingue into an all-star? Or at least a legitimate back-up?

i'm now betting he'll win the vezina this season

      or if not

that he'll finish right behind marky and demko in the top 3 voting for that award

I like the idea of going after Brenden Dillon, but San Jose wants a 2nd and a top prospect.

      Doubt it's worth it.

I think we should acquire a RD though.

    3. NewbieCanuckFan

      NewbieCanuckFan

      @Tystick  Dillon went for a 2nd & a 3rd.  That would've been reasonable.

Dillon won the F***in' Nobel, but wouldn't say squat!

Appreciate you've bumped this. Was reading the same material on Zerohedge.

I figure this thing is an intended biological weapon, that escaped(accident/intentionally?) from a lab. Prob as hazardous as Gary Buttman himself!

So if humans are so malicious(and/or stupid) to kick off some pandemic, we don't deserve much more time on this beautiful planet. Then we've officially jumped the shark.

Thanks nux fan. I definitely don't trust official numbers from China. There's no way they shut everything down, like they have without it being something significant. Just of the cases that have occurred outside China, there's a higher than reported death rate.

    4. 'NucK™

      'NucK™

In a country of 1.3B I don't think it really is hard to miss 20k deaths. Think about people who quarantined themselves at home (ex. elderly who don't live close to the hospital). If the virus is also deadlier than reported to those that have weakened immune systems... well..

@I.Am.Ironman Fortunately, Naslund completely missed the puck, so he could just circle back and get it.

Yeah.. Unfortunately I don't think he scored. The media tore him apart after though

Happened to me once back in midget, but I have a damn good reason. The ice wasn't quite set, and the puck actually got frozen to the ice. Had to chip it out. Refs ended up giving me another go at it, haha.

If things don't improve we might as well keep him and wait for the off-season to find a replacement.

The blocked field goal wasn't his fault, but the other 2-3 missed ones sure were.

It's amazing how that looks like a scoring 3rd line when you put Gaudette in.

I agree, I would go with Eriksson. He’s not worth 6mil but he has more tools than schaller, when he wants to use them!

  18. TONIGHT BABYYYYYYYYY

  19. Hudon, Lindgren, Connauton, Greer... there's far better options on waivers today than any of the guys we would risk.

    1. Dazzle

      Dazzle

@Ossi Vaananen Not really. Have you even looked at their stats? Hudon would be very redundant on our team - probably we'd end up waiving him because we have our own roster issues.

Lindgren is a goalie. We have zero space for him.

Greer looks good in the AHL, but doesn't look ready for the NHL. No one can claim him for the AHL. Everyone has to make the claim for their NHL roster. Greer does not belong in the big leagues yet.

Connauton may be the more prominent one on this list, but this is like his 4th team lol. He's a defensive liability.

Seriously, Goldobin shines compared to everyone on this list, at least in terms of NHL calibre. I think AJ Greer will end up having a better career overall though.

    2. NewbieCanuckFan

      NewbieCanuckFan

I was shocked when I saw Connauton has over 300 NHL games on his resume.  Sure makes that Gillis Derek Roy trade look awful (we also gave up a bottom 10 2nd round pick in the deal).

    3. Dazzle

      Dazzle

@NewbieCanuckFan Derek Roy was actually ok for a little while, then he disappeared in the playoffs. More of a miscast guy, more than anything.

Connauton is a depth defenceman. He's been on four teams. He might get claimed and it would be his fifth. The Canucks could've re-claimed/traded for him all these years. They can even do it today/tomorrow. He'll probably get claimed - and it would be his fifth team. He's an okay depth piece, but by no means does he make a team become playoff contenders.
