  1. I know i'm going to get roasted, but please hear me out first. This started as an idea to get Fagemo out of LA and keep the chemistry between him and Hoglander alive. Then it occurred to me, there's no way the Kings are getting rid of him. There's also been some light rumours around the Canucks and Toffoli, so I figure we could make something work around these two central pieces. But what does Vancouver really need? Cap space for keeping our young core. Petey and Hughes will need big raises a year from now, while Gaudette and Virtanen will be RFAs this summer. That's not to mention extending Markstrom and Tanev, both UFAs this summer. So, how about Hoglander and a cap dump for Toffoli? VAN: Toffoli (UFA 2020) LAK: Hoglander 2 of Baertschi (3.4m 2021), Sutter (4.3m 2021), Eriksson (6m 2022) For the Sutter lovers, he's a cap dump. I'm sorry, but he's lost his spot to Gaud and I don't want to hear some nonsense of how played the full 82 3 seasons ago. He's done. Why does LA do this? Hoglander is a surefire prospect and has developed some slick chemistry with Fagemo. This could speed along their rebuild. They have 4.5m in cap space right now, and taking back Toffoli would free up another 4.6m, giving them some space to take on junk. Worth a thought.
  2. Ok solid defence of Buffalo the city. I was kidding in the OP, thought it apparent. Your contributions are appreciated Sabrefan.
  3. For real though, let's just swap Baertschi for any of these guys on expiring contracts. Save the entirety of his cap hit next year so Gaud/Virt can get raises.
  4. What's going on, no one wants to play in Buffalo? @SabreFan1
  5. Solid post, it's unfortunate how people take things on tangents here. I'm of the opinion that we could move out some prospect depth for a deadline deal. I have Lind among the untouchables though. Woo and Gadjovich seem to be regressing and would be solid if packaged. I'd compare our situation to the reverse-Vanek of years past; wherein we traded for a solid prospect type in Motte. It was the best thing offered, so let's do something similar if we can view that as a solid price point.
  6. Plasek with the feed. Being used on 5 on 3 powerplay, despite not making the team to start the tourney.
  7. Germany could medal in this tourney. All the guys you mentioned plus a few others make a strong group.
  8. Plasek didn't play, still not sure he made the team, but not a starter regardless: https://www.iihf.com/en/events/2020/wm20/gamecenter/statistics/9611/2-cze-vs-rus Podz had a goal: #11 with the mid-air bat.
  9. Haha, that's all of them! You might have missed Keppen. I'll try my own list: Untouchable: Podkolzin Hoglander Lind DiPietro Promosing: Rafferty Madden Rathbone Get value before they bust: Gadjovich Woo Juolevi Tram and MacEwen are past the prospects stage to me.
  10. The thing with Madden is he just can't add weight. The dude is still playing at 155, which is where we drafted him. He'll get murdered in the NHL playing at that weight, especially since he likes to muck it up infront of the net. I've long thought he could be moved for a deadline piece. With a young core, we can be picky with our prospects, right up until we have to start paying said core, then ELCs will be gold. As for Andersson, I'd be fine with a cap dump or some Utica depth going the other way. Lias isn't worth more than that now, as he's struggling to find the NA game. I'd say save our picks, we need them; JB has added a 2nd far too many times for my comfort.
  11. Ladies, is a de-wrinkler an offensive gift?

      It's like a machine-vibrator thing, i think it might work, wasn't cheap.

Thanks for the reply, everyone named brilac - as the rest of you are clearly dudes.

      No, its a defensive gift.

  12. I remember they traded for that pick, this is what it cost them:
  13. 7th overall in 2017, 2 behind Petey. He hasn't been able to make the rangers full-time. Stats: https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/214318/lias-andersson
  14. I'm betting we'll see Sutter slot back in. He can play wing with Bo or Gaud. Should also give him some PP2 time.
  15. Somebody's getting canned.

I paid Mistress Nastasha to cane me this past weekend for being a 'bad boy'.  Errr, ooops, I read 'canned' as 'caning'.

I think Green will get fired after Christmas - not before - if things don't improve.

    4. King Heffy

If things don't improve we might as well keep him and wait for the off-season to find a replacement.

  16. Lol, the swap comments are funny. I'm thinking they needed a righty after Stech got crunched last game.
  17. Passed on twice by the entire league. His camp should take this as a sign, he's got to earn it. Just keep quiet and get paid handsomely to play in the minors and fill-in when needed. I hope this ends all the noise.
  18. Ya, i'm not even touching on the outside-of-hockey stuff. Great, he's a young father, and too bad he had a concussion. There, covered. Even prior to last year he never had a full season.
  19. Ya, teams just lining up to acquire him. We sure saved them some time by waiving him.
