      when renewing your mortgage, let the bank know that your cat actually owns the place.

      @SILLY GOOSE I would not not let cats outdoors.  When I lived on the Olympic Peninsula I did, but now I I lived there, I would not. There is also a wild animal population in many areas such as coyotes, raccoons, etc. In cities, I would still keep my cat indoors considering raccoons, cars, and people. It is better for cats to be indoors, plus they live longer lives by being indoors considering the outside factors.

      @SILLY GOOSE It's also important to have a good relationship with your vet.  As Sally got older and health issues that came along with getting older, I told our vet everything. I also had a pet sitter when I went on vacations. I didn't have pet insurance, but I would recommend getting pet insurance while your cat is still a kitten unless you want to set up a cat fund for emergencies. During the last 4.5 years of Sally's life, the vet bills were expensive.  I'm not trying to be negative, I am pointing out what you may expect as pets get older. For pet food, wet food is better.
