  1. definitely leaving the door open and I agree there needs to be change, especially if you can target player’s that address important needs.
  2. but to contradict this, the Canucks desperately need PK help. IF the Canucks could identify two way guys that can be effective PKrs, I would move all three of Beauvillier/Garland/Boeser. If you can find guys like Mikheyev-do it
  3. I keep wondering about Boeser. Allvin challenged him to switch up his off season training. Tocchett obviously has stressed just how important this summer will be. IMO Boeser has matured physically- I dont strength is an issue/something he needs to focus on. If he could increase his anerobic conditioning I wonder how explosive he could become? He’s young enough that with a very focused summer he could take serious strides in this area. His speed is fine to me, it’s more about being able to separate/chase quickly. To me that’s an acceleration/explosiveness issue. I guess it will be up too Allvin/Tocchett to keep tabs on him/see what sort of training regiment he has planned (or if he will follow one designed for him). I like Garland but personally if I had to choose btw an improved Boeser and CG Id go with BB.
  4. Im more for first round exits. I like the misery/chaos that ensues. TOR/CAR would be good choices for that.
  5. Given OELs reveal about being hampered by a broken foot, and the general chaos of d zone play under boudreau, and being paired with Myers Im willing to give OEL a chance. If he comes to camp in great shape/ready Id like to see how he looks under Tocchett/Foote/Gonchar. Im also might flip flop on Boeser. Im intrigued whether Tocchett can push him to become a more dynamic all around player.
  6. What Bear’s comments made me think about was JT staying in his lane//being accountable etc.
  7. He lost a summer of training, but was medically cleared to play. He just wasn’t in top form and maybe that hurts a guy like him more-so. I don’t know if that qualifies for LTIR tho.
  8. you should listen to the avail. might help clarify things for you
  9. When Boudreau took over they still employed Green’s system w some tweaks. This year they switched to a man to man style which was far worse
  10. Bear’s interview on 650 was pretty revealing. Ive got no ill will towards Boudreau but I described their D zone play as an “incoherent mess”. Bear’s description of VAN when he got here vs CAR confirms that.
  11. So maybe someone can inform me of how this works, but are the players in the year end availability determined by the team, or requested by the media?
  12. Interesting to learn more about OELs situation coming off a broken foot. Hoping he comes back with a vengeance
  13. Newhook, Lundell, Jarvis, Mercer, Sillinger…just a few names picked just outside of the top 10 in recent drafts. Oliver Moore, David Reinbach, maybe even Michkov all look like solid bets if they fall to the Canucks
  14. Standing pat is not an option. Dries would be great as an extra forward or first recall option, but the bottom 6 needs 2 more PKrs to lighten the workload on EP/JT. So another C and preferably a play driving PK winger. Defense needs a different look as well (PKr, grit). So 2/3 of Garland/Boeser/Beauvillier up front and Myers if possible in the back end. If they are able to sign JT Compher there’s your 1-2-3 down the middle.
  15. y’all complaining about Drance’s screeching meanwhile forgetting the absolute worst pile of trolling doo doo in Daniel Wagner.
  16. Studnicka needs to watch some Jannik Hansen tape and go crazy this summer. And what’s a bigger version of a honey badger? That’s what Podz needs to channel as well.
