  1. Robot birds will soon be popping on u for visiting other coffee establishments
  2. AGM Chris Gear handles contract negotiations you noob
  3. I was all good with Tanev not being re-signed and now I'm like damn, I'd like to see this guy stay a Canuck lmao
  4. I noticed he was very heads up in training camp/pre season. His battle level is also very under rated. I think he's got the foundation to be a good dman. Might not put the points up, but he compliments his d partner well like Tanev.
  5. I think Breeze will push for a spot next year. He was one of the final cuts last year because he had (I thought) a really good training camp. He's only 22. Once he gets experience/confidence in the NHL I could see him taking a big step in his development as a reliable 2 way defender.
  6. He's a good skater, heads up player. I see a lot of potential in him.
  7. Right on. Misses still probably wouldn't be a fan tho. One day I'll snag a dirt patch...
  8. Yeah that's the issue for me as well. No way in hell the misses would let that fly.
  9. Wish I didn't live in a stupid condo (our porch doesn't get much light either). I'd love to grow a bit for myself.
  10. Agreed. Mentioning Gear is a good example. Even if Gear does 99.9 percent of the contract negotiations (which by all accounts JB let's Gear freely do his work), JB has to be the one that has final say on it. Same goes with Judd and the organization of the amateur scouting department. But in that case-difference of vision.
  11. Both because noodles and a salty savoury broth are awesome in any form
  12. I think this whole power struggle narrative is a tad dramatic. Disagreement is natural. Linden is gone because the disagreement in vision obviously came to a head. Although unfortunate, that's fine- stuff like that will happen. To label it as an on going "power struggle" or sidestepping Linden in the chain of command is just like JB says-nonsense. There were different visions and ultimately FA wanted to go with JB's. You can't expect JB to change his view from Linden if he genuinely believed differently can you? Wish it could have worked out with Linden but being decisive is also important. And I was a big fan of Linden as President. With Judd, he wanted more control than JB was contractually willing to give up. That's fine. With JB's scouting background it's no surprise he feels he needs to be involved/have at least the final say. On that note, Judd has become this folk hero at the expense of the rest of the amateur scouting department which is silly. And with plenty of hungry young personel, Judd's leaving will create new opportunities. If anything, I bet the amateur side is chomping at the bit to put this drama behind them and get going/prove they still have an excellent department.
  13. This is why I stopped eating meat a long time ago:

Factory farming is a disgusting industry. I considered a vegetarian life but instead I started to take hunting and fishing seriously or buy from local, small scale farms with practices more aligned with my ethics. I know that's not the answer for everyone, especially people who live in cities or people who are living at or below the poverty line.

Its a complicated subject but there must be a better solution than extreme suffering.

      @KristoffWixenschon that's a thoughtful response.

I agree with you, like many other horrific things going on in the world, there needs to be change.  Transparency and people trying to put their best foot forward is a good first step :metal:

Well I hope my response to this reality was thoughtful. I hope to always put thought into my actions. I'm sure we both approached this issue with the best of our intentions and consulted our inner ethics. I think we achieved different outcomes but I deeply respect the thoughtfulness in your decisions!

  14. Friends is pretty damn sweet on general, but the episode when Ross plays the bagpipes lmao....and I hate that instrument 10/10
  15. Imo, the only question with Jake is discipline. 3rd/2nd line RW is his if he can stay focused off ice.
  16. He's also been plant based for awhile now, which makes him extra bad ass
