  1. Yeah Im hoping he can (a) get healthy and (b) find a fit w/ someone on the back end. I think he moves well and gives 100% (at least that’s what I noticed). Really want to see what he can (or cant do) once he settles in.
  2. Barely got to see the guy play under Boudreau, and he wasnt terrible under Green’s breakout inept system. Im not writing him off yet.
  3. too high of a cost to move a small cap hit like Dickinson or Poolman.
  4. Salt or Pepa?

As a Canucks fans it is my heritage to claim the salt

  5. Finally got around to starting Ted Lasso.  Am I ever getting Boudreau vibes from it.

Amazing how well they keep it balanced. Would be so easy to step into cheesy sentimentality with a character like Lasso but they balance it brilliantly.

  6. As it stands, I cant see the Kuz signing being the lynchpin for other roster moves. Maybe Pearson or Dickinson since they are on short term deals, but with the more prominent players Im not so sure
  7. what? Kane a perfect comp? Kane was/is damaged goods. Holland gave him an opportunity and if reports are true- not many teams did. he chose a team where he would be a good fit and it worked out. his next contract-who knows. he’s still got a lot of baggage both financially and personally-not a “perfect comparable” to Kuz by any stretch. Again all I said was that $$$ will be a big factor in his next contract if he does well. I never said he is 100% gone next year. talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. blocked? soft as ice cream
  8. Youre not listening. This is his 1st year in the NHL and was limited to an entry level deal. Obviously choosing somewhere he thought that fits him matters and Im thrilled he chose VAN. But I said its also “important to note”. Youre misinterpreting me and arguing with that in mind. Its called a strawman. Look it up.
  9. I do understand it. I guess youre not understanding my point. I will clarify it for you. Because reading comprehension matters. Like I said, next year he will be a UFA. I did not say $$$ will be everything, but I did say it will certainly be a factor in his next contract, again if he does well. If things go well with the Canucks and he stays-great. But he’s no different than any other soon to be UFA. Tyler Motte said how much he loved VAN but ultimately the two sides were far apart in terms of a new contract. Money isn’t everything, but it’s certainly something, especially for a guy looking to cash in during his prime.
  10. Its first year in the NHL where he was limited to an entry level deal. things can easily change after he dips his toe into the NHL
  11. Its important to note this is only for 1 year. He’ll get lots of opportunity and if he does well Canucks have first crack at him-but his next contract will no doubt lean heavily on $$$
  12. Based on the clips Ive seen he’s a pretty shifty player. Reminds of me Hoglander. He drove to the net pretty hard in the K-hopefully NHL defenders dont frighten him lol
  13. Nice evening. Thought about hopping into the whip and going for a fun drive. Then reality hit me.
  14. jesus. Ive never seen so many flubbed passes/turnovers by TB before. just cant handle avs pressure
  15. I still remember that VAN goal right after the PP expired and the power up jingle played lmao
