  1. I just watched the Highlights of Gadjovich last season for Owen Sound. Oh boy he must drive goaltenders crazy. It's a shame there aren't many hotheaded goalies playing for any of our most hated rivals. MIKE SMITH, become acquainted with Gadjovich's ass. Your going to see a lot of it.
  2. So the legacy of Tortorella's disastrous season in Vancouver is the pick that selects Jonah Gadjovich. If this kid fulfils his potential then the fans in this town will want to erect a statue to Torts for sucking so much that he was sacked and picked up by CBJ. Thank you Torts, thank you Columbus.
  3. Mismash. I know nothing about him but with a name like that he should fit into our current lineup just fine.
  4. I have heard that this years draft is weaker than 2018 will be, but who really knows for sure. I think CBJ having such a good year this season will be what influences them to send the pick to us this year.
  5. Thanks for the clarification, Bromidus. Reading some posts on this thread it seemed like it was a done deal that Van get that compensation pick this year. Would not surprise me if CBJ chose this year to send the pick to VAN
  6. Has it been confirmed that Canucks get the CBJ 2nd pick this year? Because I believe that they can exercise the option to wait until next year.
  7. The real chances of Vegas getting 1st is the same as asking what their odds are. 10.3%. 64.8% chance Canucks pick 4th or 5th.
  8. The scouting report sounds really good. "Elite skater", "Joins the rush" and "good puck skills". From the sound of it we just signed Erik Karlsson.
  9. His long reach and poke check are going to drive opponents crazy. What I liked most about his game last night was that no one was parked on top of Markstrom's crease. In fact the Edm forwards didn't seem to want to come within 20 feet of the Canucks net. He looked comfortable with increase in minutes. 2 games in, there is a lot to like about him.
  10. Many reason why he was passed over; 1. Back then NHL teams were very nervous about drafting Russians because the wages in the KHL were so high and Radolov and Kovalchuk both dumped on their NHL teams and went to Russia 2. Drafting Dmen is much riskier than drafting forwards because they tend to develop later 3. Tryamkin is a monster and many scouts were concerned about his skating. 4 years playing pro hockey might suggest that the guy can skate. He's no Ben Hutton, but he can move on the ice.
