Jonah Gadjovich makes his canucks Debut tonight!
Sbriggs replied to Bertuzzipunch's topic in Canucks Talk
I think Benning was a rookie GM who made alot of errors at the beginning of his tenure and I blame the owners for that. It was a stupid idea to hire a rookie President & GM at the same time. Now I also think JB has done a better job lately and shows signs of improvement and is learning from his mistakes which unfortunately are costing us on the cap especially. If Benning remains our GM I think he will show he has improved on his weaknesses and will continue to improve our team in the future and build through the draft so as we will remain competitive for years to come -
I think were seeing the same things. All Juolevi needs is ice time and he will be fine

The fact that Godjovich is 6 ft + and 210lbs with a nasty edge and is what we have been looking for as fans and as a team to toughen up. The addition of Podz & Godj will be a sight to see. I don't see this as a hairbrain decision, I see this as a smart gamble. Honestly we have no idea who Seattle is going to pick

I think your mistaken to think Juolevi is not a surefire top 4

Jonah Gadjovich makes his canucks Debut tonight!

Looking forward to seeing Gadjovich and Podz in the line up next season. Makes us bigger stronger and harder to play against, immediately. And for all you Benning haters it must suck to know Benning drafted these two animals to join our Zoo................................................................................. -
Its easy to smell bulls#$t when the only thing someone has to say is negative when in fact there is plenty of positive things to say about Bennings tenure as our GM. No matter what happens with Bennings job and who or who may not replace him, he has tatooed his place in Canuck history with his drafting alone along with many other things he has done to improve and set us up for success in the near future. Like Burke and Nonis, no matter who is the GM when we have our next Stanely cup run, Benning will be a big part of that success and rightfully so

First of all I am not, and never have been a Nonis fan, I was just stating the fact that he brought Luongo to our team and in the same quote stated that Burke drafted the Sedins which in fact is more of a reason that we had a Stanely cup run then any of the moves that Gillis made. By the way Gillis's drafting was the worst out of all these GM's were talking about by far. I put Quinn and Burke at the top of our GM history but you cannot deny the drafting that Benning has done. Never in the history of the Canucks have we had so many drafted players in our system that will have NHL careers. Benning has improved overall as a GM over the coarse of his tenure, better trades with Miller and Schmit & Motte, solid signing with Demko.

Well then replace the player or players I had mentioned with a GM or GM's other then the comment about OJ What I'm saying is no one bats 100% Owners, Presidents, GM's or players, we all make mistakes
