  1. It would mean potential for a lot of good seasons if he did produce like that. Team would also have to be good around him. Hopefully we can spend a good decade in the playoffs with this core group. Would be awesome but it is a tall ask. That sort of success(consistently making the playoffs) is hard to generate and even harder to capitalize(with the cup) on. Here's hoping.
  2. Laine's confidence is shot. He needs a good coach more than most players in the league. Dude has the talent to be a 40 goal scorer. Going to CBJ was probably the worst thing for him. Oilers could use a great complementary piece with McDavid/Draisaitl and Poolparty has taken some strides towards that this year.
  3. I am pretty sure if he stays till he's in his mid-late 30s he'd have a decent chance at getting to 1000 points if he can remain healthy and consistent offensively throughout the years.
  4. I'd pass on Cuelemans just because we have dynamic offensive D. Hughes/Clarke obvious exceptions because they are higher on my board and have better potential. Rather draft Edvinsson than Cuelemans. Rather draft a top forward over Edvinsson personally though I'd be fine either way. Have to hope Guenther/Eklund fall. Doubt Beniers will. Lysell/Johnson wouldn't be bad too. We can definitely use more dynamic offensive forwards. Only really got Petey.
  5. Pass on Reinhart. We already did this trade for Miller. Rather have the top 10 pick. If he can be had without a first involved I am all for it but that is doubtful. Draft Lysell/Guenther if you want a RW that would probably be with us longer.
  6. Woo is more of a physical defenseman with above average skill-set offensively. Maybe Bieksa-like in style but I wouldn't say potential. He probably won't handle the puck like a grenade but he probably won't make slick offensive plays either. Cuelemans more of a dynamic offensive player. He's a great skater with a great shot. Good puck mover but not as good as say Clarke or Hughes and he seems to have more issues defensively than them. Not sure I would spend a top 10 pick on him compared to the others in that range. I don't put too much flak in who we could of drafted si
  7. Why is Highmore always on the receiving end of bad/iffy hits? Hamonic had to fight someone who hit him hard too. Dude has to be a little more weary, don't want something serious to happen.
  8. Circumstances with this season especially have probably played a part in team's performances. For example the Canucks have a really bad record vs Canada last season and this season is no different. Leafs had an amazing record vs Canada and this year is no different. Preds could of have had a similar circumstance. We've had Boeser then Petey, then Hughes and now Hoglander step into the league. Next year we are gonna have Podkozlin. We have the 2nd tier of youngsters(Rathbone/OJ/Lind/Gadjo) who are gonna need time to develop at the NHL level next year We've pr
  9. Scouts disagree. Most reports seen him as more of an offensive D and see the need for him to improve defensively. This one compared him to Jake Bean.
  10. Cuelemans's weakness is his defensive consistency. He's more of an offensive-minded defenseman as it stands. He's gonna need time to develop the defensive side of his game. However, like Clarke, he has improved a bit defensively this year. He's often been compared to Makar.
  11. Next two drafts should help long-term. I don't see us doing well next year either with the amount of youth we will be running with.
  12. The age gap between Demko and Wallstedt is the same as Demko and Holtby. So the timeline makes sense but we need a Winger/D way more.
  13. It’ll all really depend on how his game matures which is why I feels he has that similarity as Ekblad who’s game took a step as he matured and gained experience. That’s why I feel he’s gonna go #1. If he pans out well he could be a top 15 defenseman. Scouts think Buff/Burns/Hedman with Power. Some scouts think he could turn forward like Burns/Buff and still be a good player lol. I’d keep him at D though lol.
  14. If we stay 7th we will have a decent chance at one of the top forwards. They could be gone but there’s a decent chance one falls. There’s still Edvinsson too who’s the 4th best D IMO. If we stay put we could end up with a good player.
  15. Every report I have found as of late says he has the fewest holes in his game in the top 10 and is arguably the safest pick with one of the highest ceilings.
