  1. IDK why they would consider it. Boeser has a 7.5M qualifying offer and Fiala's is only 5.1M. Boeser hasn't been better than Fiala.
  2. Still I don't see how that helps us immediately or going forward with cap implications. We aren't a better team right away and Greenway is also an RFA and will likely be looking for a raise as well. You can't expect to afford these two guys and Hog/Pod moving forward without dumping Boeser somewhere.
  3. I thought the whole point of Greenway or Fiala being expendable was because of Boldy.
  4. Miller > Fiala. They'll never trade Brodin. Fiala won't help us more than Miller to win games. He also is 1 year from UFA and just could take arb then walk the following year if he sees that we are a crap team. My point is if we're gonna be crap anyway we might as well just acquire future assets in these next 2 deep drafts.
  5. Fiala has been in rumored talks with a lot of teams. We're a worse team with a 1 for 1. Miller is clearly the better player right now. Fiala's an upcoming RFA too and will command more money. We'd be looking to pay both Boeser and Fiala raises next off-season. If you're gonna trade Miller why not for a small fortune of picks and prospects. It doesn't look like we're gonna be good anytime soon and these next two drafts are deep.
  6. If we continue to suck we have a chance at a guy like Nemec.
  7. Not sure we're just that. A good 3rd C and a couple solid RD for starters. Bottom 6 needs revamping. Also players need to perform. Also the fact that the cap makeup of this team currently doesn't allow us to add those types of pieces without giving up other pieces which in turn creates more holes. We also stand to lose players as time goes on with youngsters needing raises going forward. Key guys like Miller.
  8. If we still aren't good we risk losing Miller in 2023 as a free agent, same with Horvat. Both are important players in their primes that want to win. Having them both walk for nothing would be pretty catastrophic. We are another season away from this being a major concern but we have to be aware. If this group isn't capable of turning ship around by this year's deadline we have to ask ourselves whether or not we can have success with this group at all.
  9. Have to say this was a must win. Hawks playing their 2nd game in less than 24 hours and they were with 5 defenseman for most of the game. We got unlucky in the first 2 periods but we really let up on the gas in the 3rd. Went like 8-9 minutes without a shot while down a goal in the 3rd.
  10. We put our foot on the gas in the first 2 periods but let up in the 3rd which proved costly. We had like a 7-9 minute stretch without a shot in the 3rd.
  11. Hawks still bagged from last night. Keep the pedal to the mettle and don't take penalties.
  12. Yeah. Hawks look tired from playing the Oilers last night and we took advantage of it. Hawks making mental errors and losing puck battles and we've got extended zone time as a result.
  13. We just need to play everyone that plays the Oilers the day before us.
  14. If Horvat/Miller walk in free agency in 2023 it will set us back years I can see that happening if we aren't able to turn things around. They are both guys in their prime, looking for their last big deals and an opportunity at greater success. So would you trade both of them if we aren't able to have success?
  15. He is playing the wing right now but is a natural C.
  16. I can't say I agree wholeheartedly and I really like Dahlen as a player. Also doing Karlsson a big disservice.
