  1. For sure. I am saying when we get a new GM/coach and this group of players still proves incapable then we look toward this sort of soft/short rebuild.
  2. That's why I believe a soft rebuild will have to be considered. Miller/Horvat are UFAs in 2023 and to lose them for nothing would be catastrophic. I am not sure how confident I am with the makeup of this team. Cap wise we can't add much moving forward and we will probably have to let go of one of Miller/Horvat anyway when that time comes. We have enough youngsters to stick around and these next two drafts are good. Don't get me wrong. I think we need a new GM or coach. My concern is with the players after those sort of changes. We might have to consider a soft rebuild if we aren't able to turn things around with the group we have. Especially with Horvat/Miller UFAs coming up.
  3. Either way this season will be wasted. I am not sure a new coach/GM will help turn this team around in time to turn the season around. This group is in a worse funk than Calgary last season and even when they brought Sutter in he only got them to .500 hockey in the games he coached. Still i'd like the see the changes. This team has no positive identity.
  4. Overall, when we are where we are, there's a lot to blame. Management, coaches, players... we're in a ugly position. When it's like this sometimes you have to consider cleaning house. We have enough young players to keep around for a reset/short rebuild.
  5. Probably not. This season is likely scrapped. Sutter only got them to roughly a .500 record last year during games he coach.
  6. His underlying numbers were really good. Kind of fell from grace. Maybe put him at wing where he belongs.
  7. Wasn't really a blowout. I imagine if it was people would have been a lot more vocal.
  8. Last 10 minutes of the 1st and the 2nd period yeah we had a good effort. Avs outshot us 2 to 1 in the 3rd
  9. That Anaheim DJ was great with all the Queen. Crowd was really into what he was throwing at them.
  10. Better play than the 1st. Not any odd-man rushes against thus far. Even had some going our way.
  11. Bowen Byram is a way better skater than OJ. Very strong skater. More offensive minded too. They are different players IMO. Avs got the 1st round pick that led to Byram in that Ottawa trade for Duchene. Insane luck but Ottawa got that luck back in the Karlsson SJS 1st round pick becoming a top 5 pick. Pretty crazy turn of events.
  12. Avs flopped on a few odd-man rush opportunities. If we keep given them these opportunities this game will get out of hand.
