  1. He sucks but if he sucks 2 years in a row then we know for certain what kind of player we got in him. Almost all of our youngsters have had a season of sucking but bounced back. Hughes/Boeser/Horvat. Definitely concerned for Petey though and he needs to get his act together. I am surprised he hasn't been scratched for a game yet, young talent has been before in the league for less.
  2. We just have to be weary of the possibility if nothing changes. That way if we do need to do a soft rebuild we can move them out and get a good return. It would suck but losing them for nothing would suck on a whole other level. IMO this is would be the final straw/last option though. Like I said a new coach definitely needs to be tried before we even consider this. Maybe closer to trade deadline we decide what direction we want to take this team which will be based off of what they're capable of till then.
  3. If we aren’t able to turn this ship around we have to consider the possibility of Horvat and Miller walking in FA in 2023(after next season). Both guys are in their prime and it will be their 1st go at FA and last go at a big contract. To lose them for nothing would set us back years. IMO we have to see how this core does with a new coach ASAP.
  4. Both. Interim it till the off-season. Maybe look to bring in a President during the season.
  5. You missed my point. We wouldn't be turning over the roster again we'd be rebuilding again. Completely different that what you're implying. If a new coach doesn't work out we might not be given the choice. Miller/Horvat are in their primes and are UFAs in 2023 and likely won't stick around if we aren't able to show any signs of success. We could see them walk for nothing which would REALLY put us back 7 years. These next two drafts are good. If this team still doesn't show signs of success by trade deadline than we should definitely consider it. We have enough young players that can stick around in order for a rebuild to not last as long. A new coach should definitely be tried first though.
  6. We have enough young pieces to stick around for a rebuild 2.0. Horvat/Boeser/Miller would be the main guys I would look to move first. Like I said though I would want to see how we do with a new coach first. Exhaust that option before deciding to go down that sort of serious route.
  7. I don't think one trade will change much. If we decide to trade big names we should just go all out and rebuild 2.0. Anything else would just stall the inevitable. We have enough young players to do a quick rebuild and these next two drafts are the time to do it. I would see how a new coach does before we consider this option though.
  8. Miller would just walk anyway if we traded any NHLer like Boeser for prospects. Same with Horvat. Both these guys are in their prime and want to win now. They won't stick around if we make the team worse. We might have to rebuild 2.0. Would see how a coaching change affects things first though.
  9. Only way we trade Miller is if we decide to rebuild 2.0 akin to Ottawa after Karlsson/Stone. We probably try a new coach before we get to that point.
  10. Only problem is that we're pretty shallow on centerman. If we're gonna go down that route we might as well ship a few big pieces like out like Miller/Boeser/etc and do a quick rebuild 2.0 the next couple years. Keep the younger guys and Demko. Might want to see how we do with a new coach first though.
  11. If there was a time to do it the next 2 drafts would be that time. IDK if we rebuild 2.0 though.
  12. I think the majority of calls on both sides have been really bad. Really rough reffing tonight.
  13. Same with Marky. Although Tanev would make us less smelly crap.
  14. We did win it but Burroughs flopped the clearing attempt.
