  1. He stepped into a bubble team and played a huge part to make it into a Stanley Cup calibre team. The season before he played they were 8th in the west and 17th in the league. The following season, his first year, they were 2nd in the west and 3rd in the league.
  2. McTavish and Fantilli could end up being one of the top C combos in the league. Especially if Fantilli proves that he is franchise level. McTavish is a complete gamer.
  3. Makar. Petey is 2nd. Makar pulled ahead convincingly after he won the Norris, Conn Smythe and Cup.
  4. Their window will probably be a long one. Probably 1-2 years before they on the rise.
  5. Fantilli goes to ANA with their promising young core. Could be the next team to jump up like the devils in a bit but probably buffalo before them.
  6. Potential core is scary. Especially if they go for celebrini or that #1 defenseman next draft.
  7. Probably for a little bit but they’re stockpiled with picks for years and will likely draft top 3 next year. Gonna be developing the next core which will probably be a scary one. With Bedard things will progress faster. They can make trades for higher end players they don’t draft as well. They have more than enough assets accumulated.
  8. Hawks could be scary in a fr 3 of those 4 teams are in the west and two of them are in the pacific.
  9. Looks like Bedard won’t have many shortages of teammates around his age.
  10. We have a better chance at dropping position than winning the lottery.
  11. I would be shocked if we got him. We're literally in the worst position for #1 overall as we're the 11th last placed team and teams can only go up 10 spaces now. We're the last team capable of getting him and have the worst odds of teams capable of 1st overall. They better have a good year next year or all the winning in the later parts of 2022-23 were wasted, as it was for the winning in the later parts of 2021-22 going into 2022-23. Can't afford no carryover again.
  12. Winning 2nd overall isn’t a bad thing. Fantilli is going to be an excellent player and has been considered franchise level like Bedard. This draft has pretty high talent in the top end.
  13. Given the choice we made of building around the current core with players that can help the team and not by rebuilding, I would be surprised if they did. It would probably have to be a deal that helps the team now and moving forward.
  14. Would have been better to start it in 2021-22 though and finish it in the 2024 draft. If we didn't have the Boudreau bump and traded some assets we probably could have drafted top 5 and snag Jiricek. After last trade deadline we made our choice. We're past the point of going back. We either will fail or succeed with the choice we made.
  15. We're past the point of rebuilding. If we wanted to it should have been done last TD the latest or at the 2021-22 season preferably. We've decided what route we're taking and have no choice to follow through till it succeeds or fails.
  16. What drugs do you think we should legalize and sell/tax next? I think psychedelics. LSD, Mushrooms/DMT/etc. Most of these are already decriminalized but not suppose to sell. I think they'd generate a lot of revenue as well.
  17. The rest of the post pretty much repeats exactly what initially said. I said Seattle would be better. Didn’t necessarily say better than us if that’s the implication you got from what I said. That’s way too far to tell in comparison but I feel they will be a better in general than they are currently. That was my point. They are set up for the long haul and will probably be a better team in general as their new core grows. I said we are playing the short game and Seattle the long one. Two years is a pretty short time. So yeah I am gonna agree there that we would be better, especially if I think that they’d take a step back with the amount of youngsters establishing themselves within the next few years like I previously stated. Perhaps this is a matter of misunderstanding and a lack of elaboration.
  18. I am reserving judgement till the off-season and how they handle that. I think the roster as is will still run into consistency issues due to team composition. Would like to see a more defensively minded bottom 6 to match our offensively talented top 6. Also some more defensively minded D to match our puck movers. Tall impossible task to do it all in one off-season but I want to see how much they accomplish if any. The cap will make it hard so it will get interesting to see how they address.
  19. I hope we are the ones who eliminate them otherwise I hope for a good tank game if they are already out.
  20. I never argued any of those things to you. In fact I actually never actually argued anything to you at all. I simply stated they were set up long term. Stated my own thoughts on their situation. Look at exactly what I said to you. Now I refer back to my other response to you.
  21. Bjugstad would be a nice get. Righty C, wins draws. Is big and plays big. PKs and supplies good secondary scoring. Would get good opportunities here as main PKer and C on PP2 on top of taking some of Horvat’s role with defensive draws 5v5 freeing up Miller more offensively. Probably due for a raise though.
  22. Lots of puck movers on D we’ve picked up. Should try to find more defensive/energy types both at FWD and D. Need more help keeping the puck out. Don’t want to overwork Demko.
  23. We’ve kind have past the point of no return when it comes to rebuilding. It should have been done at the TD the latest or more suitably last season.
  24. Team needs a capable 3rd C and more suitable bottom 6 in general. It’s not bad just not what we need for the most part. Need more defensive/energy types. Top 6 can already score enough.
