  1. Would probably effects the 2017 and on drafts though. Could be better or worse. We would have a much different roster for sure. Probably fare better if we had a crystal ball back in 2017 in the 2nd round and 4th round we could of had a player like Hague or Robertson instead of Lind. Batherson was a steal for the Sens as a late 4th.
  2. 7 of the 10 Dallas games have been decided by one goal. 5 of their games have been decided after regulation. They've played 7 out of 10 games on the road this year. Their last game was a 4-3 OT win over Calgary last Thursday. They will have 2 days rest compared to our 1 day. This is their last game of a 3 game Canadian road trip. They've played 5 of their 10 games vs Canadian teams. They beat us in the last season series we had winning both games in regulation. They scored 10 goals in those 2 games while we only scored 3. They were a 6-1 game and a 4-2 game.
  3. A part of that is because of the back to back serious injuries he had that derailed his development but yeah not a good look.
  4. Win some lose some. No GM is perfect but the hits have to outweigh the misses in order to be a successful GM at drafting and to help translate success on the ice. Boston hit a homerun in 2014 with Pasta but 2015 they literally had 3 strikeouts with the 13th 14th and 15th overall picks with the only non-bust being Debrusk. Missed out on a bunch of good players(Connor, Barzal, Konecny, Boeser, Chabot) after those picks. Probably would have beaten STL had they drafted 3 of those players. Canucks have been average at drafting under Benning. Maybe above average. Some big misses and some big successes. Not really anyone to pan out yet in the later rounds yet save for Forsling and maybe Rathbone. IDK what to think about Gaudette as he lost the success he once had. We've done good in the 2nd round though with Hoglander/Demko. As of now a starting goalie and a top 9 player out of the five 2nd round picks Bennings has drafted. Woo/Gadjo/Lind might turn out to be something but that's still to be determined. Hopefully we keep our picks moving forward. Our prospect pool has grown a little bare with the graduates, traded picks and lost prospects(waivers/expansion). Maybe if we have to trade Miller down the line we can stock up on picks/prospects. Keep a steady flow of solid youngsters in the system. Help us to be successful long-term.
  5. McCann was less of a bust and more of a miss of Pasta which is what I meant. Nothing on McCann but Pasta is a top winger. Virtanen hurts more for sure.
  6. The entire 2014 first round. Missed out on Pasta who was drafted right after McCann and there are a bunch of quality players between the Virtanen pick and the McCann pick. Tampa beat everyone with Point in the 3rd round though. What a steal.
  7. Manslaughter. If he wasn't old enough to carry that weapon get him on that too. Case closed.
  8. JBs mistake was thinking he was a better C than a wing. He’s played a lot more up and down the lineup in Dallas at wing. If Stromer is available he might be a better option as a scoring 3rd C
  9. A player says something. I wonder if frustrations might brew between them and the coaches if things don't turn around with the special teams.
  10. They are actually ahead of us in the standings since they take the current tiebreaker. We are last in the division currently.
  11. Besides his pass to Pod and nice entry into the zone(1st one 6 on 5) Petey was rough to watch tonight.
  12. Hughes was dog $&!# defensively. His -24 and 5v5 goals against compared to goals for was pretty much telling. Reminds me more of Boeser though who couldn't pot a goal to save his life his bad year and got all his points from Petey/Miller having a good year and Hughes having a stellar rookie year.
  13. Yeah it's been rough to watch. Like Hughes last year and Boeser the year before. Hopefully with time he can find a way around it like his teammates have through their struggles.
