  1. You could be overreacting. This is the same player that was our leading scoring in the playoffs back in 2019-20 and one of the only guys not named Demko to show his worth vs Vegas. Boeser had similar issues in 2019-20 (missing training, confidence low, timing off)and came back stronger in 2020-21(was our leading scorer that year) Hughes was awful last year. Now he looks back on track this year. Horvat had a year when we barely scored during the 1st half of the season then was like a ppg the rest of the way. Petey hasn't really gone through similar trials till now. This is his go. Even last year when he was a bit slow out of the gate he got back to the Petey we knew and he had 5 goals and 2 assists points in his last 5 games before his season ending to injury. So if history has shown us anything it's that these guys go through their ups, downs and ups again.
  2. Maybe. If he is hard on himself, as Imac said Petey describes himself, then confidence levels probably affects him more than most players. He's had a lot of time off too between games. Timing could be an issue like Hadal and John and John suggested this game.
  3. It's quite possible that you could be interpreting it the wrong way. Imac said when talking to Petey right before the season started that he says he understands the pressure and wants to be the guy the team relies on the most. Also said Petey is insanely critical of himself.
  4. Unless you know someone with Billions to spare and can miraculously convince Aqua to sell, I don't see that happening.
  5. Yeah. I could see him as an interim but I think he won't be a fit with a defensive implemented structure. Rather him be in charge of the PK and Defense and have a voice(2nd guy to HC as he is now). We might not be able to find I head coach I describe till after the season or near the end. If the season ends bad though I could see JB gone by seasons end in which case we definitely wouldn't see a coach till the off-season as the new GM will want to pick his own guyw and Shaw would probably interim rest of the year.
  6. Mainly defenseman which has been his area of focus as a coach prior to this job. He calls himself a more of a defensive guy. I would rather have someone with actual experience and that can bring a playstyle that fits the talent we have. Keep someone qualified as him as assistant, which he has most of his experience at.
  7. I would keep him as Associate. He is also a more defensive-minded guy and I don't think we have the makeup for that. Our core players are all offensive guys.
  8. He has his gripes too though and will play grinders(his favorites) a lot. If we did I would want to bring some really good Associate Coaches along side, maybe a couple guys with head coaching experience. Would want an experienced staff with tremendous experience.
  9. I think there might be an interim coach till we find one. We might have to wait till the end of the year too or for others to get let go. If the season is mostly like what we've seen so far I can't expect JB to stay either.
