Defense, consistency and maturity. But it seems like his maturity issues were overblown. I suspect it might of been because of COVID and teams not being able to see him play as they usually do. Still it appears defensive play is his biggest knock as it stands. He will probably be roughly 2 years away I think(maybe a little more or less).

The way management makes it sound is as if he will be back at some point. I just hope all is well with his family given his circumstances. I would hate if that’s the case. -
Good, good. Miller hasn’t been good with Petey so far and having him at 3rd C might balance out the lines. With Boeser back we can do that. I would rather have Petan with him and Pod instead of Dowling personally and move dowling down to 4th line. I would like to see us win this game. I don’t want to lose the past 2 games vs DET/BUF. It would be a little demoralizing. If we win the next 2/3 I would say it would be a good road trip. We’d come out with 7/12 points.

Probably too many pucks to the head. He's an A+ human though. Good dude. Better suited for radio. -

Not sure I dig Dick at C so far. He played up and down the lineup as wing in Dallas and I would like to see how he does there. When Boeser's back I would move Miller at 3rd C again. Petey/Miller haven't been great together so far. Miller/Hog had some chemistry last year so you could try them together on the 3rd line. You then have the option to put Dick/Pod with Petey/Boeser. I would keep Pearson/Horvat/Garland together, they haven't been too bad together. 4th line needs Sutter. We've been struggling on the dot, PK and have no righty Cs. -
It takes a dozen games or so to see these types of defenseman's worth. Early on with Chatfield last season we thought he was decent then he fell off hard.

He only needs one hand to take the picture. -
Apparently both JB’s son and Daughter were just waiting for an Uber. JB’s daughter was the one who was strangled and thrown against a wall. ‘The son of Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning was hospitalized following an alleged assault outside a Yaletown nightspot early Sunday morning.Danica Benning, the daughter of the Canucks GM, posted on Instagram that her brother was attacked by four men while the two were waiting for an Uber outside the Banter Room at 1039 Mainland Street.“I tried to fight them off my brother and then one of them strangled me and threw me up against the wall,” Danica Benning wrote in her post. “The police were notified but (the four men) ran off immediately. My brother is in the hospital.”Vancouver police spokesperson Const. Tania Visintin confirmed that officers were called to an assault in progress around 2 a.m. in the 1000 block of Mainland Street.’

We already have quality guys on the PP. They should be a lot better than they are, even without Boeser. Not even sure Boeser makes much of a difference with the way it is playing. Fixing it should be priority one. We’ve played good 5v5 but the PP sucks the life out of the team. If we’re able to continue to build momentum from our PPs we will start dominating most games we play. PK needs to be better too. We’ve also really dropped the ball on faceoffs so far too. Winning them is pretty key with special teams. Losing draws has proven costly on the PK already. -

I think Juice is better suited for the panel. Also he has a young family. Maybe in like 8-10 years since I believe his kids have just hit their teens. Maybe earlier if they are good enough to play hockey at a high level. I wouldn't mind Loui Debrusk. He use to do some Canucks games for time to time but he is almost always paired with a commentator I don't like. I like his old school approach and he is pretty unbiased when it comes to teams. Praises them all usually when they're good. Never craps on anyone but the refs from time to time. -

Corny, cheezy, repetitive. Good guy but he belongs in radio broadcast. -

I would move Garland to the top unit PP if Boeser is still out. Dude makes things happen. -
