Stalock had an easy night. Nobody was giving him real trouble save for Bo and maybe Ferland at times. Marky was good not great. We shouldn't have to rely on him being amazing all the time though. Should have Mac and Virtanen in the game. Ferland was trying to lead physically but there was no one to lead in the bottom 6. I would take out Sutter and Rousell. I would play Bo's line more defensively. Just have the 4th line made up of PKers and defenders. Yeah 3rd line might be shaky defensively but we need players that can play behind the hash marks/around the net well and that can feed off of Ferland or create energy themselves. Lean heavy on top 9. Might want to consider throwing out one of Ferland/Virtanen in the top 6 and drop Pearson down. Could use more speed. The difference was us not being enough of a nuisance around the net. If we create more chaos in front of Stalock it will open up the ice for the skilled guys and create chaos when shots get through. Chaos leads to Wild D making mistakes which lead to PPs and goals. TL;DR: Play Virtanen/Mac and emphasize net front presence and the offense will come.

Thats why we need to play behind the hashmarks better. Be around the net and rattle Stalock's cage. -

If our big boys go to the net it will open up ice cause chaos when shots get through. Chaos in front of Stalock is gonna lead to PPs and/or goals. Need more people willing to do the nitty dritty and play hard behind the hashmarks Probably would of started Virtanen and maybe Mac. Have the 4th line be made up of PKers like Motte and Beagle. Take Sutter and maybe Rousell out for Mac. -

IMO it's been a pretty even game. We need to start rattling Stalock. He's been a bit of a difference maker. -

I would rather have Tkachuk than OJ but that means probably no Petey and definitely no Hughes. So with that said I am happy with how things panned out. -
Yeah idk if we would be able to nab him. He had a promising year. Might have to consider trading Virtanen to get rid of Eriksson if we do consider to move him.

I don't think you'll mind anyone taking that with a grain of salt.

I hope we win but I would be lying if I didn't say... I've got a bad feeling about this...

I don't mind Loui actually. He is informative in his outlook. Kind of old school talks new school. Also he will rave about the Canuck players. He did for Boeser, Marky, Quinn and especially Petey a lot in his rookie year since he called his early games. -

Might throw Virtanen in somewhere. Could take a game or two for the top 6 to get going so we might want as much offense as our lineup can muster. Use the 4th line as a defensive PK unit. If Petey isn't scoring we need more insurances. -
They can't really afford anyone in FA. One of Granlund/Smith has got to go. Josi makes 9M next year. They probably part with Bonino too the following year but they have good enough C prospects to compensate. TBH it would be better for them to part with both Granlund and Smith if they wanted to retain Ekholm. So they're in a bit of a pickle if they don't cheaper forward-wise. IMO they probably make a deal with Seattle to take Turris. They have a couple of good RD prospectsbehind Fabbro so they could afford to move him for a guy like Virtanen though they might want Stecher as a stop gap for those players. that might mess with us if we can't sign Tanev. It also sounds like Poile is capable of jumping the gun and changing his mind on players. Fiala was traded during an off-year and Subban was traded after one. Perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea for JB to see where's at in regards to any sort of deal. Could end up well for us.

Nashville might be a target for some sort of deal like this. With both right wingers Smith(4.25M) and Granlund(5.75M) being UFAs they could use a cheaper option at RW in the top 9. They got two similar D in Fabbro and Carrier. Both offensive/smaller right handers. Fabbro has more potential but Carrier has gotten better statistically year by year in the AHL. I would definitely target Fabbro. They have another RD prospect in Allard too, overall good pool and they might be able to afford to ship a guy like Fabbro out. Preds and Canucks could be good partners.

Helps with the roster moving forward, long-term. Adding a promising RD would help balance out our future at D. The kid would have to pan out though. We'd probably get a good pick too. Overall Trading Virtanen for a younger cheaper D with potential is the only logical move given our options with Tanev/Stecher as a stop gap top 4 RD, circumstances with the cap and with the lack of promising RH shots on our D pool. If we decided to trade someone.
-
The fact that we have Rathbone and OJ as competition for a top 6 spot next year bodes well for our future at LD. It doesn't bode well for a guy like Brisebois or Saunter though but that's a good problem.
-
A good reason to trade Virtanen over Boeser is that we are in a better position to have a younger cheaper and promising RD on our roster rather than a top 4 D for Boeser since we have Tanev/Stecher available to sign. It helps our roster long-term more so.
-
If it was that good enough of a D prospect where he could step into a top 4 role it could cost Virtanen+. It would be a somewhat touted prospect in that case Ideally said prospect would start as a top 6 RD or with a veteran like Tanev. Probably want each young guy to have a solid veteran to play with. Example being Rathbone/OJ-Tanev, Edler-Said prospect in 5v5 play. Hughes can play with Myers and probably bring the best in Myers. One of Tanev/Stecher would be going. Depending which one it would change how we work our D around.

Just get a paintball gun. You can also practice with them by going to paintball events but chances as a beginner are you're gonna get shot more than you're able to shoot people. Wear enough layers unless you can tolerate the pain and want war wounds/welts. It is fun though!! Also IDK if they'd be open? You're not really getting real close with anyone and if you're... ouch... Edit: FYI it won't hurt anyone enough if they are wearing enough clothing in self defense but you could cause a lot of facial pain, disorient or take someones eye out if you're a good shot. You can also unload a ton of shots in a short amount of time. That's if someone decided to invade your home. Also it could be an effective melee weapon. Stay safe/responsible.

All the progress is promising. It sounds like the time off with Covid is one of the very few silver linings this year. It really allowed him to get back on track and he'll have another off-season to prepare for a potential roster spot next year. For the first time in a long-time we can actually be excited for OJ
