  1. Power Forwards are usually more mean and bring about more of a physical presence like what Schenn has. Are willing to drop the mitts, etc. All of those guys I mentioned have triple or more hits that Hoglander. Grinders, although have a physical element it isn't as big of a presence as power forwards. Even a guy like Motte who is the same size as triple the hits. I don't consider Motte a PWF because he isn't making anybody keep their heads up out there. he doesn't police anybody. It's a specific play-style IMO. One that fits certain players. One that is very scarce.
  2. I mean that gets thrown out the window if Kuzy puts up 30 goals and/or 60+ points Moore hasn't had more than 20 goals yet or 50 points. Isn't on pace to do either this year.
  3. Grinders have that. They usually are those all effort energy try-hard go-getters. When I think Powerforward I think OV, Brady Tkachuk, Kreider, Crouse, Folingo, etc. Hog for me doesn't fall under that category.
  4. If he hits 30 goals and 70 points. he is at 7M bare minimum. I'd be looking to trade him at the trade deadline if he continues his pace. Especially if we are already having to move Bo.
  5. No but he didn't have to compete with the likes of Hyman or Kane or RNH to get to PP1. He isn't a ppg player there even on the 2nd line. RNH is only a ppg player because he is on PP1. There's a big difference in talent between RNH and Petey. He won't ever get on PP1 because of the depth they have there. Kane barely gets on PP1 since he's fighting with Hyman for that final spot. Vancouver afforded him the best opportunity to play with either Miller, Horvat or Petey consistently. How many teams in the league could offer you the chance of playing with three seperate 30 goal scoring centers?
  6. Need to try to keep our picks in the first 2 rounds and try to add there. You also forgot Karlsson. Overall we got decent winger depth. One more solid winger we'd have good depth there. Focus should be RD though and C. We'll have a better understanding of what we'd need after we see who we trade out and what we get back.
  7. Doubtful. Here he gets consistency in terms of opportunity and quality of linemates with PP1 and Petey. Oilers he'd have inconsistency. Hyman/Kane are better players and better fits for a Draisaitl-McDavid line and on PP1. He might get some time with either Draisaitl or McDavid when they occasionally split them up but overall he'd have less ice-time in general, less opportunity and he'd ultimately build less value for himself.
  8. I worry management might flip any assets we get in order to clear more cap space.
  9. Pretty much. Kane, Hyman, RNH. He isn't getting on Oilers #1 PP. Oilers running Draisaitl-McDavid-Hyman as 1st line so no guarantee he plays with either, especially with Kane probably ahead of him too. It looks like he wouldn't be as guaranteed the opportunity there as he is here.
  10. Where are we getting a #1 RD? We aren't getting one for Horvat. That leaves us with Free Agency. Severson, Dumba and Klingberg. Not really top 2 guys but decent chance they are paid like one.
  11. Gustav Lidstrom isn't that great. He isn't having a good season. Bear is better than him. They have solid LD prospects who I would rather have like Buium, Wallinder Johansson. Even a RD like Tuomisto might have higher upside. Other than that this was a deal I have mentioned before.
  12. He hasn't really warranted it yet.
  13. He's a better fit than Karlsson on the 4th line and is a faster skater than Karlsson. He's a few months younger too. We shouldn't be trying to develop Karlsson as a 4th line winger. There's also guys playing better than Karlsson in the AHL like Pederson and Lockwood.
  14. All quiet on the Western front. A German movie. It is based off of a novel from a German veteran who actually fought in WW1 on the western front. He wanted to describe the futility and horrors of war and traumatic experiences the German’s soldiers faced. The Nazi’s ending up burning his books, including this one. He fled Germany when the Nazi’s took over due to the growing discontent between them and his works. Nazi’s considered him “unpatriotic”. The Nazi’s actually executed his youngest sister after convicting her of “undermining morale” because she had anti-Nazi views. Now to the movie itself… It follows the German perspective preceding the Nov 11th treaty in WW1. The Main character is a 17 year old German who’s eager to fight for his country during WW1. He soon begins to realize the horrors of war and experience the loss of his innocence. Also includes Daniel Bruhl who plays a part of a negotiator trying to begin negotiations with France in order to prevent anymore death. This is a very grim and dark movie. Probably the most grim war movie I have ever seen. 10/10. I highly recommend it. It is top 10 in 90 countries on Netflix. Be warned you probably won’t come out of this movie feeling anything good since it’s bleak and grim. But it’s a pretty good movie to have come out during these times.
  15. It would make the season less meaningful. It’s already perfect. If you make it you’ve earned it. Don’t change it
  16. Kaprizov is also 200lbs+. Compared to Gusev who is 163lbs. That’s kind of my point.
  17. Roman Polak got two 2nds. Dillon got two 2nds in one trade and a 2nd and 3rd in another. Josh Manson got and 2nd and a prospect Schenn 2 goals, 6 assists and +8 in 26 games. He is also a hit leader(currently 2nd in hits). Also high character guy and leader on the ice. Also has experience in the playoffs. He’s playing more like a 4/5 this year.
  18. In what sense? Return, him going or both? He’s gonna garner more interest than Motte since he’s or higher value and need.
