  1. Also interesting stuff post RR http://inagist.com/all/427675113400832000/
  2. Apparently Batista was flipping out on fans after the RR and actually gave flipped the bird at one of them and also mocked Daniel Bryans Yes chant...... Also something to laugh at
  3. I am disappointed in this years Royal Rumble, it looked good on paper but never lived up to the hype. Fans want change what they don't want are people who were hot half a dozen years ago main eventing PPV's, this is getting kind of ridiculous. WWE really needs change. They are overusing guys that were hot, as I said, a half a dozen years ago and are holding back talent that they should push. I don't like the direction they are taking. Raw's probably going to be 10x better then the RR like it has been the last half dozen PPV's
  4. Crowd was pissed that Daniel Bryan wasn't in it. I was hoping Roman Reigns or Punk would win. I am not sure how I feel with Batista winning it.
  5. Unless somebody was stupid enough to extremely overpay for BoHo, and I mean extremely, I don't want us moving him. We need to retool by getting younger because our core players, mainly the Sedins, only have so many years left.
  6. You can see the confidence in Kassian. He is putting up another good game.
  7. 3-2 Canucks. Badkassian Kes the Mes ALEXANDER . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .....Edler
  8. I don't see why we would get rid of Garrison, he has done well here. Garrison has just has been paired with Edler when we were healthy, even still now. Stanton was with Bieksa and Tanev was with Hamhuis, Garry must of got the short end of the stick playing with Edler. Edler with any defenseman currently on our team has been a bad pairing defensively.
  9. COL won't add anything Ryan O'Reilly is already a great two way player and is only 22, so he still has a ton of potential. If there's anyone going to be adding anything it will be us first. If COL adds anything it will be a top 6 Dman, probably Sarich, in order to make room for Edler.
  10. We wouldn't of had anybody to put on the powerplay, not that it would matter.
  11. I thought our problem was more that we have too many 3rd liners and not enough top 6 talent. O'Reilly is more than capable of playing big minutes. I don't think one player is ever the savior of any team, unless that player is Crosby. I think O'Reilly though would be a key piece of our future if we got him. I want O'Reilly because I see our team in the post-Sedin era becoming more like how BOS and LA are now, a good defensive and physical team which I think is a good change. Just look at how we have drafted and imagine how are team would look like 5 years from now. A player like O'Reilly would be a good fit if that's the direction we are going under Torts.
  12. Yeah I was kind of at a loss between Tanev vs. Hamhuis for best defenseman. I chose Hamhuis because he basically plays the most minutes on the team, against the toughest players and in all key situations. Hammer really picked up since the start of the season and the same can be said about almost every single one of our players in regards to hammer playing like crap since being named to TC. When our Defense was healthy it was key in our success this season and I see it being a key for us in the future as well. Edler should be the main piece we send Colorado if we want O'Reilly, I am sure there would be a few other smaller pieces as well if the trade did happen. Our future is almost pretty much set in Defenseman with Corrado, Tanev and Stanton. A promising OFD though would be nice to have in our system, we can get one in one of the future drafts, etc.
  13. O'Reilly has 18 goals already, so he should easily be able to break 20. O'Reilly is also 7th in takeaways and is currently on pace for a career year. Don't forget he is only 22 so he has a ton of potential. As O'Reilly gets older I can see him becoming one of the better two-way players in the league. I wouldn't mind having O'Reilly on our team and Torts probably wouldn't mind as well considering O'Reilly plays a strong two way game. Having a bunch of talented two way players (ie, Kesler and O'Reilly) and/or two way players that have potential to get better (ie, Horvat and O'Reilly) is not a bad thing. It is pretty much what teams like SJS, LA, BOS and CHI almost mostly consist of.
  14. Hamhuis>Tanev>Garrison>Bieksa>Stanton>Edler. In regards to which defenseman has played the best to which defenseman has play the worst so far this season. Depth Defenseman and rookies(besides Stanton) not included. Edler looks like the odd man out. Edler's cap also the same as O'Reilly's making cap a non-issue for us. We also have a bunch of LHD Defenseman in our core giving us another reason to trade Edler. Tanev, Stanton and Corrado should be pretty much untouchable. We have a bright future in Defense, we shouldn't mess with it by trading our young defenseman when we have an underperforming defenseman in Edler who has trade value. If we do trade with Colorado for O'Reilly we should also snag one of Sarich(Big RHD Veteran Defenseman) or Holden (Big LHD Rookie Defenseman) to replace Edler.
  15. Torts says AHL. Canucks with Tanev > Canucks without Tanev. Do you want Corrado playing 10 minutes here or 25 minutes in the AHL? Torts seems to think AHL and I agree with him.
  16. We aren't getting rid of Tanev. We would only have one right handed defenseman if we did and we would be over the cap. We have a surplus in left handed defenseman so to me Edler is the one to go. Stanton, Hamhuis and Garrison have all outplayed Edler in my opinion and Edler still has good trade value. If we do trade for O'Reilly we should try and snag a reliable top 6/depth dman while we are at it. Edler, Weise, Jensen and a 2nd/3rd for O'Reilly and Sarich(Veteran right handed top 6 D with size) . I don't think Edler straight up is going to get O'Reilly, who is 22, has played amazing so far and still has a ton of potential.
  17. I think Gillis wants to mimic Holland's Detroit Redwings. Don't make risky moves, continue to make playoffs but not as favorites, let the youth develop and snag pickups in FA. I think both Holland and Gillis are preparing for the post Datsyuk/Zetterberg(DET) and post Sedins(VAN) era which is the safest route to go. This would mean that the only way we would be contenders would be to snag good FA's and/or hope some of the youth can get good before the Sedins retire. When the Sedins do retire we shouldn't be a complete crap team since we might get a few solid pickups in FA, and we are deep in prospects & also young players if this is the route we take. If we do make a trade it is going to be for a solid young NHLer and/or an early pick(1st-2nd round) and some depth players(hoping that one turns out good for us, ie. Santorelli). That's my take.
  18. Kassian is getting better the more he plays. Last game, though disappointing, was probably the best game of Kassian's career so far. Kass was physically dominant, had a helper, played well with the puck, along the boards and had a nice goal. If Kassian fought it would of been the cherry on top but regardless it was an outstanding game for Kassian against a top team.
  19. I knew we were a broken team with all our injuries against a powerhouse in Pittsburgh but all that effort..to come back and take the lead... Wasted... And to go out like that... There's no way you should lose like that on home ice.... This is arguably one of the worst regular season games ever....that should never happen... There's no word to describe the feeling I am having...
