  1. They good a have prospect pool already and are probably gonna draft top 10 this year and have 6 picks in the first 4 rounds. They signed JG long-term so they have time to form a team. Unsure why they wouldn’t. Horvat or Miller won’t fix things. If there’s a deal I worry it might not be one we like. We probably aren’t getting their top prospects.
  2. Wonder why CBJ consider. They tied for dead last in league. Not sure 1 player would turn it around for them.
  3. top 10 is FWD heavy. A lot of current mocks have 1D there. Top 5 is C heavy. Top 3(1W and 2Cs) are considered generational talents. You will find more D outside the top 10 this year. We should be looking to acquire more 1sts. We could likely get a couple more if we sell big.
  4. That's if competitive teams would want him. This coming off-season might be ripe with bunch of quality D in FA as well.
  5. They'd have to trade out multiple pieces. It would start to take away from the roster too much. They just traded out a 1st to get rid of Monahan. They would probably have to give more than that in order to re-sign Horvat, not to mention giving up pieces for Horvat. It wouldn't be worth it for the Flames in the end. If anything they'd want Kuzmenko with his ELC.
  6. Overpayment by the Flames for an UFA and position they don't need. Can't see them trading Ruzicka or Tanev either. They are 7-3 with Tanev in the lineup. Ruzick is off to a hot start and will probably be Backlund's eventual replacement down the middle. They would probably be best to try to off-load Lucic and add a top 6 scoring winger.
  7. Middling/Mediocre/ Inconsistent. At a crossroads of what to do about it. I say tear down because it is the more concrete course of action. Tearing down is more of a matter of when it will work rather than if while the other options present more of a matter of if it will work rather than when.
  8. Watch out Petey, Horvat now tied with you in team lead for points.
  9. I’ll be in trade school starting in January for 6 months so no OT for me. Will be going to BCIT. I get to miss the insane rainy season in Kitimat so that’s nice. Could mean I have a job when I get back, I probably do either way. I think it will mean that they’ll give everybody a raise. They did back in June with inflation.
  10. For the most part we’ve been a cap team who’s had inconsistent and not so great results. It’s gonna shine a light on those types of things. We did lose a lot of our good PKers in one off-season.
  11. I wonder what changes commence and how it will effect my job. In the FCCL LNG site in Kitimat they just recently allowed in unvaccinated to come back to work. They’re gonna add more than 500 people in January.
  12. I would hold off on moving Demko till he’s actually performing up to the par we know. Otherwise we are probably gonna get underpayment offers. Canes could probably offer better and could also use one of Horvat/Miller to make a mega deal.
  13. None of these trades would ever happen. They all say no.
  14. I'd send him down for a bit. I'd send almost all the waiver eligible youngsters down. Let them play actual hockey while we figure out how to deal with this mess. Barely playing on a tire fire team is probably gonna stunt their growth.
  15. If Canucks trade Bo they should trade Miller and others as well. Rebuild with Petey/Hughes. Roster isn’t good enough as is and losing one of their most vital players would be too much of a setback. What he brings is hard to replace and the trickle down effect will be felt. Team can’t afford setbacks and there is too much that needs to be done with so little to work with and not a lot of time to get it done.
  16. Alexander Nikishin is a piece I really like on it he Canes prospect pool. 6’4” hulking Russian D just turned 21 and has 23 points and is +13 in 29 KHL games so far this year. Touted as a Defensive D with a big shot hit has made some offensive strides.
  17. He traded his best mid-round guy too in Forsling and traded the pick who ended up being Rasmus Andersson(although no guarantee he picks him). Two top 4 RD.
  18. Supporting it is easier said than done If they had viable options to support it better they likely would have by now. Unless they willing to skip 2023/24 drafts and trade our best picks/prospects or wait out the next 2-3 years. we won't be able to properly support. Team is too handcuffed.
