  1. We're not getting that. No playoff team will give up those assets and no team aspiring to get into the playoffs will give that up as well. They want to add on their team without giving anything of significance on their roster away. What they will mainly give up are picks and prospects.
  2. You're giving Bo too much merit with what's been going. He has not exactly been running this team. The one constant you can say in the last 7 years is that retooling really hasn't worked for us. Last management tried it and this one is maintaining that constant. If we trade Horvat we might as well rebuild. In order to compete this team requires a lot to be done with not a lot to work with and not a lot of time to get it done. We can't afford setbacks and losing Horvat would be a major one if the goal is to compete.
  3. Hard to sustain that high level of play with how the team plays in front of you. Demko has been bad for sure though but the team hasn't given him many chances. A lot of these goals going in are usually the big saves he has made before on odd-man rushes and turnovers. I expect Martin to come down to earth soon if we continue to play like the last 2 games. What's even harder is to try to get out of a funk when the team plays the way they have.
  4. You didn't say in real life so let me whip up the old Xbox. and make Horvat a 99 overall too. You didn't say I couldn't.
  5. If we trading Bo we might as well rebuild and trade others as well. Like Miller, Kuz, Garland, etc. Boeser i'd probably wait for now cause his value is low and with those guys out he'll play top line minutes which means more opportunity for production. Could do this with Garland as well. If you can find a trade for OEL move him but I wouldn't use any picks to move OEL. 4 years after this one anyone we draft in 2023-2025 will expire close to or at the same time as him(Probably most in 2023 since I don't see anyone besides a top 5 pick stepping in right away). I guess he can be a veteran for a young D to play with. Myers you probably right retention then someone might take him. If not higher chance someone takes him next year with 1 year left and retention. Same goes for Pearson. Try to do what Ducks did and sign someone like Klingberg(above average player who can't get contract) for a year that you can flip. Or take cap dumps for picks/prospects from cap strapped teams.
  6. I will remember a 170 pound Ryan Miller dropping his mitts and going after Martin who was 50lbs on him to defend a rookie Stecher.
  7. I hope we really tank. For realz this time.
  8. We play the way we have this roadtrip vs the Bruins and Leafs it's gonna be ugly.
  9. Bruins are undefeated at home and the Leafs have firepower. If we play like we have the last two games they could hit double digits in goals against us each game.
  10. If we play like we have the past 2 games vs the Bruins and Leafs it won't be pretty. They capitalize more than the Sens and Habs do when you give them as many grade A opportunities as we have.
  11. He's doing well there and youngsters Hog/Pod/Bone are struggling to perform with the tire fire. IMO we might want to send the kids down so they don't forget what playing hockey is like. And so they actually get minutes.
  12. With the way we've been playing defensively doubtful. It be like fighting a house fire with a cup of water, with the lake being down the hill, in -30 weather, having to carve your way 2 feet through ice to get to the water with a fork, in your pajamas.
  13. We've really shit the bed the last 2 games defensively. Demko doesn't seem to be able to make the big saves this year. JR stated we've relied on high calibre goaltending to win a lot of our games last year and that it isn't sustainable way for success. I guess it isn't.
  14. Problem is nobody wants the players not on that list. JR even stated the players he wants to move out, that he doesn’t feel are fits, nobody wants.
  15. Mentally speaking sure. We'd be at a major crossroads as an organization.
  16. We have a ton of forwards this year and Hog/Pod barely get any ice-time as is. Let him sizzle in the AHL.
  17. In this regard with ownership there’s not much we can do besides voice our displeasure and hope he smartens up. Everything else correlates with Ownership. Like I said though it’s a hope and prayer at this point. I think that’s more likely(still very unlikely) than him selling the team anyway. For him to sell the team the stars would have to align in terms of circumstances. Only certainty is that things are bleak atm.
