[Report] Evander Kane suspended 1 game

That's what the Soilers thought and now they are facing the most important game of their season without him -
[trade proposal] Pierre-Luc Dubois
higgyfan replied to Wanless's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
Yeah, peeps really underestimating PLD. He's just 23yrs and learning the NHL power forward game. Jackets messed up his early development years, but he is coming on now. 28goals 60pts 106PIMs. He will be a better player than JT by the time he's 26. Can't see any reason for JT to sign in Winnipeg. -

Debrusk has turned his game around. Scored 25g, mostly playing as 3LW. Lysell is killing it with the Giants and is highly rated prospect. He's 19yrs. Way too early to be making predictions for his career. https://www.nhl.com/bruins/news/getting-to-know-fabian-lysell/c-325772154 "A player that has been recognized as one of the most dynamic, game-changing players in his draft class, Lysell is known widely for his skating ability and puck-handling skills. Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney, along with Boston's scouting staff, have had Lysell on their radar for over two years leading into the draft. "I think we do identify with the skill and the game-breaking ability," said Sweeney. "He's got speed, he can shoot the puck. We'll go down and watch him live at the U18's. You saw the pockets of high-end ability. "Again, now there's details and things that all young players have to learn and assimilate with the North American style, but he has attributes that I think we identified the Boston Bruins need as much of as we possibly can. Scoring and skills are hard to find and Fabian has a lot of those attributes." -
Having all 3 Hughes brothers on one team would not only create a winning environment, but a huge $ making venture throughout the NHL. The interest (and curiosity) in three brothers with massive talent would fill arenas, air tv commercials throughout NA, anything that has any or all of the brothers photo on it and of course...the Devils insignia, colours or anything related to them will skyrocket. Besides having a team that competes in the SC playoffs for years, they will make a ton of $ off the Hughes name.

[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks

I agree that Lundkvist will likely become an NHL defenceman, but I don't think he's the best fit as Hughes partner. I could see him alongside OEL in a couple of years though. That said, I doubt Schneider will be playing top RD minutes anytime soon either. If the team wants a solid dman as Hughes' partner, it may be better to look for a more seasoned dman, like some other trade proposals being suggested. -

I've been searching for a report from outside the Vancouver market that makes such a claim. Most sources are either local or posted months ago. It would be helpful if you could create a couple of links about this potential trade. The only source I have found is a youtube video by author unknown. Sounds kind of like the Scoutching guy, but I'm not sure. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Jersey+interested+in+trading+for+Miller&qs=n&sp=-1&pq=jersey+interested+in+trading+for+miller&sc=8-39&sk=&cvid=51E093BEBEF448B6829EADD3DCEE6074&first=6&ru=%2fsearch%3fq%3dJersey%2binterested%2bin%2btrading%2bfor%2bMiller%26qs%3dn%26sp%3d-1%26pq%3djersey%2binterested%2bin%2btrading%2bfor%2bmiller%26sc%3d8-39%26sk%3d%26cvid%3d51E093BEBEF448B6829EADD3DCEE6074%26first%3d6%26FORM%3dPERE&view=detail&mmscn=vwrc&mid=1C789F427F82917C1B3C1C789F427F82917C1B3C&FORM=WRVORC -

[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks
higgyfan replied to Podzilla's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Definitely, but that won't come back in a Myers trade. Hughes' partner doesn't have to be a high-end offensive player. He needs to have speed, physical strength and most of all a very good defensive player. Still, a younger player that has those skills is not easy to come by. It may take time for the team to have the assets for a trade or maybe by trading a star player. In the meantime, Matt Roy might be available (from the Kings, who have a ridiculous amount of decentNHL ready RDs) and as it happens, they are in dire need for a top 6 RW. Hint hint. -

Seattle only has 2 natural RD and the 2nd guy is barely NHL. Larsen has an NMC, but I think he'd be the 1sr pairing guy with Myers on the 2nd pairing. They are both minute munchers and a veteran voice for a rebuilding team. -
or... OEL $36.35M in 5yrs Myers $12M in 2 yrs Nurse $64.75M in 7yrs

Good point. They likely have the assets to make a move too. I think they just want to reclaim a 1st and are checking out what's available. Got to admit...Stafloski - Aho - Svechnikov would be one scary line. Neids + Domi are UFAs and Staal leaving next season. oops, I think I better get my eyes checked. -
[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks

His scouting reports were very positive. Comments like: 'outstanding skater; 'wins battles along the boards'; 'not afraid of gritty or physical games'; 'has a quick and heavy shot'; 'well-developed defensive game'; 'a dynamic offensive player. He is able to play the game at high speeds and excels when he has the puck in open space'. Keep in mind that he is only 23yrs and is already 6'3 @ 210 lbs. I think his projection was to be the player he is showing, but he needed some development time to get there. I don't think he has been playing C this year; mostly LW The part I didn't like about that 'rumoured' trade was the inclusion of Lundkvist (instead of Schneider), although a decent prospect, he is probably not a good fit for the Nucks right side. I would also fully expect Kravtsov included in any trade with the Rags. -

This trade would improve team assets. DeBrusk, Lysell, Rathbone, etc. These assets can be used in a trade for whatever. In the meantime, the RD side can be improved temporarily until the best RD trade comes along (or move up in next year's draft and scoop on). -

DeBrusk has really improved his game. 25goals. I see him as a trade asset. -

I don't think (Beecher) is enough for a Miller trade. I think the Canucks would want the 1st + Debrusk + Lysell If Bergeron retires, they will jump all over a Miller trade. -
We do not need to tear it down OR make big trades
higgyfan replied to MtnHockeyGuy's topic in Canucks Talk
I think they can free up some cap space and reinvest in a couple of much-needed players; either in trade or UFA. We need speedy, scrappy and tenacious players. Hopefully that comes in the form of filling some of the team's holes, such as; RD, 3C and a W (if one of our forwards is traded. It is a difficult situation for sure and I don't expect them to be contenders for a while yet. I do think they could find themselves in the playoffs next season, which is essential experience for team development.
