  1. Florida is in a bad situation. The team as a whole played badly in the playoffs and their stars never showed up. The team is aging, they have a mediocre prospect pool and they traded off most of their 1st and 2nd round picks for the next 3 years. Looks like they were 'all in' for this year's playoffs and it didn't work. In a pathetic way, JT might be the best answer for this pathetic bunch. He has a record of passion, leadership and clutch. He just might be able to light a fire under these players. The problem is, the Panthers have so little to trade other than a veteran player for cap space. Maybe trade Sam Reinhart to access cap $ and probably another player as well. If they want Miller, the return would have to be Lundell. Probably be straight up (he's that good). Maybe take Bennett as a semi cap dump. He's too pricey for a 3C, but he could ride along with Pete for protection and to help with the C duties. Lundell could probably fill the 3C spot (he's just that good)!!!
  2. + Sharangovich (or Nolan + 2nd) + Zacha Trade Zacha + ? to Coyotes for Crouse
  3. Avs have 5 players that are over a point per game. After Drais and McJ the Oilers scoring drop off rapidly.
  4. Crouse is on the verge of breaking out on a horrible team. He will get a new contract for the coming season, which will be significantly more than his ELC, but not more than 4-4.5m. If the coyotes want to trade him, they will get more than a 150OA. I wouldn't trade Podz for 15OA either. Like the Crouse trade, it would be an underpayment and that is how they relate. I hope they do trade Crouse; he deserves to develop to his potential on a team that plays pro hockey. I have no idea what the Coyote management is doing, but they will have to reach minimum cap and have an awful lot of dead wait UFAs leaving. Very few players will want to sign there and the ones that do, will not be good hockey players, but will get over-payed. How freaking embarrassing for the game of pro hockey.
  5. I don't know why the Canuck coaches (and Benning) kept pushing Dickinson into the 3C role, when it was well known that he was better off playing as a LW. Towards the end of the season, he was playing much better and was obviously more comfortable in the LW role. If the gm can find a 3C, there's a good chance that we will see an improvement in Dixie's game this season. I am more worried about Poolman than Dixie. He will me much harder to move and has an extra year.
  6. That was my point. The Coyotes wouldn't take a 150A for Crouse either.
  7. What an amazing career. Started at 19 and ended this season at 38yrs. Great athlete.
  8. I don't think they would want Garland anyway. DiPi doesn't really add much to a trade. for Crouse, they will want a top 6 + a 2nd or more.
  9. The salary cap will mandate who is traded this summer. I can't see them keeping JT if his contract demands go as high as what some people are saying. Miller will likely be traded and yes, it will be taking a step back. The game plan is that the window starts opening in 2-3 years, so that gives the team time to make the adjustments needed to meet that goal.
  10. Under normal circumstances it probably would, as Crouse hasn't shown Garland's scoring ability yet. Crouse is just starting to figure out his game and is turning the corner into a power forward type. He would be such a special player to have on our team's top 6. The Coyotes will want a lot for Couse, so I'm hoping that one of the other trades might bring a player that could be part of a trade.
  11. I don't, but it is looking like the management want to keep Boeser. I just think that Roy would be a great fit with Hughes at a low cost. He is really solid defensively and has decent size. LA is in need of a top 6 RW and have a wealth of RDs.
  12. I think that the defence is better and they would now have a 3C that has good faceoff % and can play offence/defence. Also have an extra 3M for trade or UFA.
  13. $5m Garland for M. Roy $3.1m Hughes Roy $6m Myer for Geekie (3C-r) $2.5m OEL Luybushkin UFA Luybushin $2.2m Dems Schenn Rath Burr $11m - $7.8m = $3.2m savings
  14. Haven't you heard the JR story about keeping Blueger in the AHL for 4 years before joining the big club?
  15. Why do you care so much about what various fans are thinking? If people want to cry about losing Forsling or wanti to hang onto whatever player, it doesn't have any influence on the final roster of the Canucks. Woo's ELC will end after the coming season, so the management will decide at that point.
  16. After watching the other teams playing over the past couple of weeks, this game is just crappy awful. Plain boring. I really don't care which team wins. The Avs or Blues are going to smack the 'winner' down in 4 or 5 games.
  17. He'll only plays 1/2 a season. Give him $5m ++++ bonuses if he plays more (and maintains his usual pt a game).
  18. I still don't see the Rags trading for JT, but if it did happen, I would want Kravtsov included. He is an RFA now. Ranger's need a top 6 RW; maybe they take Garland + 2nd (2023) for Kravstov + Lundkvist
  19. Tanev is (and always has been) a warrior. If Sutter had made the decision to rest him the last few games of the season, the Flame would still be in this series. Oh well. Lose Flames Lose!
  20. If they would just start hitting the Oil like crazy. I want the Coils to be hurting when they play the Avs.
  21. To be fair, he's playing injured and should be watching the game in the comfort of his own home.
