  1. It's hard to tell what the Flyers plans are going forward. They should be looking at a rebuild, but they may also be an aging team that just wants to keep making the playoffs. They do have some good young players coming along, but Farabee is the only one that is ready to step into a top roll. I like the trade as the return for Miller would likely fetch a top RD in the draft. Of course, it can be risky counting on a draft pick, but the 2 available sure look like the real deal. If the management is wanting a more physically aggressive player, maybe Scott Laughton would be a better choice than Konacny. Scott has a great cap and would certainly fill the #3C spot, while adding depth for the top6 (injury), play the PK and add the sandpaper.
  2. If I were to bet on it, I would say that Miller will be traded before the beginning of the coming season. They will soon know what the contract expectations are (if they don't already) and will not come to terms with JT. They may wait to see how Bo's performing before signing him, but he is definitely in their future plans. He is in his prime and definitely showed that he is a leader and driving force during the team run for a playoff spot. I don't think a team could withstand losing its top two leaders in the same season. Brock is another story. Like Miller, they likely already know what his expectations are if it fits the team's salary, they will haggle for a shorter term and sign. I'm not so sure that the management are that high on Brock as their #1 RW, so they might trade him regardless.
  3. The great thing about this news, is that the problem(s) with the Knights is due to the management; not the coach.
  4. I guess it will be up to whether he performs well during the upcoming season. If he plays like he did this past season...
  5. Well, I won't be very high on management if they sign Brock to a long term ++$ contract.
  6. Could be a grave error for the Nuck management. Garland gets the same results (without PP) and is more economical.
  7. I don't think the Nucks sign him long term. Too high a risk. They would probably sign the QO and then trade him at the deadline or just trade him during the offseason without signing him.
  8. Last 4 seasons: 47g (82games), 26g (63games), 19g (56games), 27g (79games) Not seeing the math in avg 20g a season; even with the below 82 game seasons. Like I said, it was stupid to sign him to that contract when they knew they had a franchise C in the ranks. Now he is their 2nd C and that is the skill level of his line-mates. His salary should be around the 1bC or 2C. Point a game player.
  9. Tavares =/- pt a game in TO. It's his ridiculous contract and $ that was the bad move. Imagine signing JT to an $11m contract when you already had an up and coming #1C in Matthews. Now he's their 2C at the price of a franchise player.
  10. And the funny thing is that Ny's will be the player that will have to go. Tavares has a NMC, while the M and M's will be kept on the team at any cost. They will have to get pics or ELCs in return for Nylander as they will need the $ to re-sign any UFA or RFA contracts on the roster. I think it will be very difficult for the Leafs to improve on the team that just lost in another 1st round playoff.
  11. We'll have to keep a bucket close by, as the amount of Tketchup turtling will be vomit producing.
  12. Tryamkin comes across as a man that would rather stay in his hometown, where he can play hockey and be very comfortable. I don't think he had the level of passion for the game that would drive him to do the work and make the changes required to become a career NHL player. Playing in the best league in the world, was just not worth it.
  13. K is a low risk high reward player. Any team will take a chance and sign him. Even if he becomes the 2nd coming of Gusev, it's not going to hurt the team, unless he only has 1 good season (like Gusev) and the team re-sign him to a large contract with multi years.
  14. Attention all NHL players: If you want to stop an opponent, do not trip him. It is much cheaper to give him a solid elbow (you fellows know where the best spot(s) is) and keep on skating.
  15. C'mon LA. I know you bums are good for winning 1 round. GKG (for one more game).
  16. Matthews: 'but, but I'm the best player in the NHL and I just can't win a 1st round in the playoffs.
