[Proposal] Retool of the bottom 6
the grinder replied to CanucksCountry's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
lol you want to sign bottom 6 guys to 3to 4 year contracts with the way things are going ? no way any GM is going to do that now , guys will be lucky to get 1 or 2 year deals for less money and you wanna pay lowry 3.5 for 4 years, talk about groundhog day lol its time to see what our draft picks can do ie lind focht lockwood etc instead of repeating FA mistakes -
Francesco Aquilini says "I have no plans to make changes."
the grinder replied to AriGold2.0's topic in Canucks Talk
"So name them? You can really only name the ones that are recent/still developing because Benning has nothing to show for the first 5 years of his drafting outside the top of the draft. And that's not a "carefully crafted goalpost", 5 years is the majority of his tenure." isn't that what you said ???? or you going to deny that too so that include demko wouldn't it????? 2 nd rounder outside the top of the draft (check) , was drafted in that 5 year period(check) and he definitely contributes to the team (check) ??? so you deny the facts and says he doesn't fit the criteria or is that too hard for you to comprehend -

i think most people cant see your out right denial of the facts , i cant believe you actually think Demko doesn't contribute to the team that is beyond laughable -

lol what a load of crap demko is a 2 nd rounder so that works , hoglander 40 th over all is on the team so that works , gaudette a fifth rounder is on the team demko contributes every time he plays , Hoglander is in 1 st year and is contributing , Gaudette passed others on the depth chart and plays on the team ( say what you want about production he is on the 3rd line ). So i guess Demko winning games in the regular season and playoffs is not contributing to the team because that what you are saying ?! so is demko a 2 nd rounder ? check yes he is 36 th over all has demko won games in the playoffs ? yes he did has demko won in the regular season ? yes he has has demko stolen a playoff game ? even the Vegas players have said he did is hoglander a 2nd rounder ? double check hoglander was drafted 40 th overall is hoglander playing on the 2 nd line ? yes he is is hoglander getting points ? yes he has nine points tied for 7 th in scoring on the canucks in his first year so there are the facts so i named a non first rounder and a a top 40 pick or did u just pick 40th to move the goal posts lol -

exactly sakic has had 7 years as a gm with prime assets to start with , lost in the first round of the playoffs then 3 seasons of not even making the playoffs with those assets and then only has made the 2 nd round of the playoffs in the last 2 years , and thats a good GM ? thats like saying with the Canucks current core you should Ok with 3 more losing seasons in row then after making the playoffs because that what sakic's team did after he took over , wonder how Fred is going spin this one lol -
Francesco Aquilini says "I have no plans to make changes."
the grinder replied to AriGold2.0's topic in Canucks Talk
no you weren't , Sakic already had a core when he took over ,so what has he done since traded Duchense to Ottawa for 1 st rounder and traded for kadri , and they still don't have a goalie , pfft management 10 years of sucking to get landeskog mckinnion ranteennen and then sakic takes over and you say great management team . -

Colorado ? since they drafted landeskog 2nd over all in 2011 thats 10 years of rebuilding and what have Colorado won? nothing Boston had a young core when they won Marchand ,Luicic , Beregron krejci etc with vets mixed in, what core did we have in 2011? sedins kesler burrows and loungo all retired , so comparing apples to oranges lol -
Does superstion have a future in hockey?
the grinder replied to LeafsFanDan's topic in General Hockey Discussion
I thought you were phycologist because you certainly don't act like one . Go and push button for the 13th floor in your elevator then ,no building has a number 13th floor because it is unlucky or superstitious , you brought up the point of professionals shouldn't be superstitious yet there isn't a number 13 th floor so it fits in the the argument , it a superstition that professional still use today and newer buildings are now omitting the 4th floor because 4 is an unlucky number . So you better start going after engineers and architects then -

the grinder replied to LeafsFanDan's topic in General Hockey Discussion
they are playing a game at a professional level if superstition is not acceptable why is there no 4 th or 13 th floor in a building then ? Aren't those designed by professional architects and engineers , so explain that one? -

omg snowflake they are not sacrificing goats or virgins , guys throw their sticks in garbage cans if in a slump to get a garbage goals and you want to ban that talk about taking the fun out of the game , they aren't robots for your amusement , next thing you want to ban goal celebrations because it hurts the other teams feelings -
b low it up ? your just doing what is going to happen wether they get traded or not , sutter pearson are both gone regardless , virt and gaud maybe traded , but if your actually blowing it up your trading bo or boesser , captain or guy that is second in goals lol your just saying exactly what gmjb has been saying since last year young players will be in the line up this year and the following year , like obviously if we aren't in the a playoff spot trades will be made , but dont expect much back for sutter or pearson
