I think Horvat will be a solid, if not well above average NHLer, but I just don't see him jumping into the Canucks' lineup right away.
Torts is all about the "process" with young talent. That may mean playing 8 games, gets a taste, goes back to junior, and is ready to crack the big club the following season.
Of course, if he develops beyond the norm it's possible his "process" states that he's ready for the NHL.
However, I see Gaunce having a better shot this year. And for the Canucks, right now, what they need is a reliable 3rd line center who won't frack things up. Gaunce has a far better chance.
I still love the Bo pick. I just think it'll be a yet or two before we see the fruits as it were.
