  1. Sometimes you wonder if Jack Ma may have lost favour with Winnie the Pooh. It's pretty much the end of your life as you know it if they come after you. Considering that corruption is how business is run in China, I wonder how many trumped up charges are prepped for Jack....
  2. Massive losses to the PLA though. My dad was around when he saw convoys of soldiers and material heading to the front lines towards Vietnam.... saw lots of trucks with corpses and wounded returning. The problem is that the PLA is a paper-tiger. No combat experience, antiquated command structures, many joining the PLA for political purposes, unproven military technology, etc. Considering how many soldiers are the only child/son of many families and outrage there will be once casualties starts going up.... the Chinese military is pretty paralyzed. Okinawa is just a stone throw away. If China goes on the offensive and bombs Japanese territory.... it will really escalate the conflict even more. Japan spends as much on its "Self-defense force" as the UK or France spends on their militaries.
  3. They should. I used to use RBC DI and I was able to purchase warrants. Just enter the ticker symbol yourself. Unless there were some additional forms that were required before you can buy warrants.
  4. I don't use questrade or scotia... but usually you search for the warrant ticker. Usually just adding .ws or .wt to the end. For PDAC... the warrant ticker is PDAC.WS.
  5. Just for folks who are interested in SPAC that will either go boom or busts.... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/107XxlWIjPdjfrm_T2NDfUCsnFoH7dHhfprNPQZdcH4Y/edit#gid=0 Found a little list here online. A bit dated, but does give you a quick scope on the size of which group and who is backing them. Obviously, do your own Due Diligence.
  6. One worrying factor... isn't some group trying to take over her company and bump her from top spot?
  7. What I hate most about trading.... deciding when to cash out. Much easier to preach to others what one ought to do, harder to actually take your own advice, lol.
  8. Nah..... as much as Messier wishes to ret-con his time in Vancouver by saying he was part of a "rebuilding" team, he wasn't supposed to. The roster of the Canucks when he arrived consisted of: Pavel Bure, Trevor Linden, Alexander Mogilny, a young Markus Naslund, a Mattias Ohlund who was runner up for the Calder, Corey Hirsch who was a young goalie who arrived on the scene, PWF Dave Scatchard who kept getting better (broke out after being traded), the "Wild Thing" Scotty Walker, and a who host of players who were just a few years removed from Game 7 in 94.... Martin Gelinas, Jyrki Lumme, Bret Hedican, etc. Messier was supposed to bring them over the top.... not force a rebuild onto a contending team.
  9. Unlikely he's going to be trade. Even if they send him down, they only save like $1 million in salary cap space. You still need to fill that roster spot and it will at least already be around $1 million, if not more. So the Canucks have a guy who has bought into Green's system, offensively gifted, with chemistry with players on the team, committed to playing he 200ft game, willing to play an entire season in the AHL.... not saying he's going to carry the team, but it's better than just bringing in players with no previous chemistry or play musical chair and hoping someone clicks.
  10. "Sorry, that's offensive. I don't subscribe to your Binary gender intersectionality...."
  11. It's like people go out of their way to get offended. Someday just having the sweater with only the letters: CANUCKS would be deemed offensive as using only the Latin alphabet isn't inclusive enough as it doesn't have Sankrit, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic, Persian, etc.
  12. As much as I want the Canucks to have more depth, they really need to start finding out which prospect will swim and which will sink. Prospect needs to have NHL experience to find out whether they can make it in the league or not. "Marinating" a prospect only makes sense if there is actually room and a clear path going forward.
  13. A list of CCP members being leaked out.... I wonder how many on the list are in Canada....
  14. I'll take it off your hands for $50 bucks and a 6-pack
  15. That online bookstore? Never gonna go anywhere....
  16. I've only use those delivery services when I'm unable to leave the house (kids are sick, car broke down, etc). Once you factor in the mark up, fees, tip... it's easily 20-40% more expensive than if you went to pick-up the food yourself.
  17. I hate stock market roller coasters .... up $12k when I woke up.... then down $3k... now back up for $2k.
  18. "We apologize for this service disruption. We had no idea that there will be so many people applying to get free money...."
  19. Even 95% isn't that big of a deal. IIRC, it's below 86% before you should really fix whatever that's causing it to be that low. Sub-80's is when you're really feeling it. If you're flying on an older 747.... your o2 would probably sink to the low-mid 80s. So when you're flying domestic and you feel like your heart is pounding a bit harder and you seem to need to "catch your breath" more.... that's where your o2 level is at.
  20. Where's the line between just showing up at a rally and promoting something? If he supports it, but don't do anything else but to show up at rally.... would that be considered as promotion and deemed as reason to get fired? At what point is just having "wrong think" is an actionable offense? BLM rally is perfectly fine since it's "good think", even though it violates what the health experts are promoting. But anti-mask rally is bad and is "wrong think", because it purposely goes against what the health experts are saying. Both goes against health guidelines and does spread the coronavirus. Regardless of intention, action is what matters, and in terms of just actions, both are more or less the same. Don't get me wrong, I think being anti-mask is stupid, but it is slowly feeling like the concept of "thought crimes" is becoming a reality.
  21. It all depends on what you mean by pro-mask or anti-mask. I 100% do not support mandated mask usage.... but 100% voluntary. I firmly support how the Japanese handle things when they get sick.... be considerate enough to wear a mask. I am pro-responsibility.
  22. Where's the line and where does it end? Will there be a day where I wear a t-shirt that says, "I'm Pro-Opera and I Vote"... and that will get me fired from a job or banned from certain establishments? Will my potential "offensiveness" against the deaf and non-citizens be justification for detrimental actions towards me? Sounds very extreme.... but if you told someone 10 years ago that you can get fired for attending a public rally, you will notice that the goalpost has drastically shifted.
  23. He has all rights to believe what he believes in and the team has all rights to terminate his contract... but this is slowly becoming a bit dangerous where there's retaliation for person opinions/beliefs/etc.
  24. Anyone with any opinions regarding QS or what was previously known as KCAC?
