  1. While supporters will say that other PWF really starts hitting their strides when they're 25.... most of those in the NHL were being impact/physical players before the offense started. Guys like Milan Lucic, Johan Franzen, and even a the less productive guy like Steve Bernier... if they're not scoring, they're doing everything else right. Being physical, finishing every check, back checking, battle hard to keep possession, etc. Zack Kassian on the other hand, he seems to float a lot and only steps things up when he "needs" to.
  2. It was a salary issue. Geroy still wanted to be paid as an all-star, but Wally wanted to pay him relative to his depth role. It was never about the Lions not believing in Geroy Simon.
  3. Been going to the gym about 3-times per week since April. Results has been plateauing a bit, partially due to old injuries and doing the same routine. Can't push harder since I don't want to put too much stress on joints with pain and I don't want to switch to more advanced/complex exercises as I haven't been trained/taught those. Deciding to just "monkey see, monkey do" probably not a good idea and may lead to injuries. The only thing I can really change in the mean time is diet. Starting taking meal replacements plus fruits (usually just a banana as it's easier to eat, plus for allergenic reasons) for the morning. Lots of vitamins, minerals, etc. Subway for lunch... not 100% the most healthiest, but usually just egg salad or veggie sandwich, all veggies (no iceberg lettuce, but with spinach), fat-free dressings, no salt/pepper and multi-grain bread... eat just 6", save the other half for later. Gym after work, then protein shake afterwards and the rest of the sub. At home for late dinner, maybe a bowl of vector cereal with extra all-bran and skimmed milk. Total calories should be around (800 for sub, 200 for meal replacement, 200 for protein shake and 400 for cereal) 1600. Always starving before I head to bed. I'm already starving and I just finished my bowl of cereal, lol. Thinking of taking casein or something before bed. Any thoughts/recommendations? Cool. Checked out a few sites... not sure if accurate. Says 15% body fat... but I think that's too low. Thanks for the website suggestion, I'll have to do some research to see if it's the cheaper option out there.
  4. How do you test for the amount of body fat? Or do you have to do it at some gym for a fee? A little side-topic.... Anyone know of a good place just across the border to buy supplements? I've been starting to use pre-workouts and those protein drinks... and they're pretty expensive.
  5. Can't everyone just get along... and just hate Scientologists instead?
  6. I find the etiquette and common courtesy on the skytrains very lacking. It seems that many don't seem to understand the concept of letting passengers out first before getting in. People purposely budge in front of you while you're waiting... even though you're just barely behind the yellow line... to make sure some idiot doesn't accidentally nudge you onto the tracks. How many people don't even take off their backpacks when it's crowded... I mean "hello? are you an moron? ever noticed I placed my duffel bag on the ground to avoid it smacking into other people?" Passengers just hug/lean on the bars, thus preventing anybody else from holding on without it being awkward. If you don't mind my hands brushing your breasts missy, back away from the bar handles! Not covering up when sneezing or coughing... I understand if you're like 3... but for god's sake you're an adult... behave like one! Those sitting down and not letting an elderly, pregnant/with young kids, or disabled/injured people have a seat. You see so many healthy guys and girls just not getting up for those who may needs those seats more. I get it if you were actually dozing off and you didn't notice... but when I can clearly see you looking up and about and not doing anything... it annoys me to no end. Heck, I go to work, then head to the gym afterwards for 2 hours and I still give up my seat. What's your excuse? For a "world class" city, transit riders are certainly classless.... /rant
  7. So.... where are those folks who said they hate the sun and love rain now?
  8. I remember hearing about how someone was visiting Japan and she kept being touched inappropriately. She immediately grab the hand really hard and turned to yell at the guy's face... "WTF! Stop touching me!!!!" That guy couldn't disappear any faster, lol. Also, wasn't there a story a few years back about how some guy was sexual assaulting some teen on the bus and when other passengers noticed, a whole bunch of them started pounding the perpetrator? Ladies... someone doing something unwanted to you... just scream at them or give them a free knuckle sandwich. Chances are those cowards will run with their tails between their legs. Those being more aggressive.... vigilantism will solve that
  9. The NYI does have a legit chance in making the playoffs this year. Their younger players do need playoff experience to develop. While the price is high for Vanek, the organization have nowhere to go but up, at least in the next 5 years. Them moving closer to the core of NY will be a huge selling point as well.
  10. I'm hoping that he either joins Gary Roberts in the off-season or have whoever the Sedins used after the lockout to improve their skating.
  11. There are low-lifes everywhere in Vancouver, so transit wouldn't be any different. If women are being harassed on the bus/train and if there are other people on-board (assuming it's not completely packed), just yell at the guy to stop. Chances are that person would be too embarrassed and will leave. If things escalate.... there might be a few who believe that chivalry still isn't dead.
  12. So.... if I'm going to Costco to shop for my family with enough stuff to fill up the trunk, I am supposed to use public transit? Good to know in your ideal world, it's gonna make my 1 hour trip into a 5 hour one. Great!
  13. Skytrain has been messed up for hours so far today. Buses are packed too.
  14. I'm still wondering why can't they just import whatever system and equipment already in place in other countries. It seems they are hellbent on spending taxpayer's money to re-invent the wheel.... and the wheel they make is crappy too!
  15. Dominating junior has no relevance to development. He'll just be an overager adult out-muscling weaker teens.
  16. Approximately 5'10, 185lbs.... I think body fat of like around 22%. Trying to remove the fat around the stomach area and also want to add more muscle to upper body.
  17. I used to puke often when I'm at the gym. Later on I realized that I was drinking way too much water. While being hydrated is very important... it's unlike you'll ever suffer from dehydration. Also.... better to bulk and then cut or vice versa?
  18. If they were threatening my family... I would have went reverse after going forward..... then back to drive.
  19. Woot! Rain! Thank goodness summer is over. Right?
  20. Yep, hopefully it will allow him to develop his strength even more. I mean, the year after he was drafted, he came back into camp all buff, tacking on like 15lbs of muscle or something.
  21. I'd rather he stick with the Canucks and learn from Kesler/Henrik. Plus, the conditioning and training staffs from the Canucks are probably better than in the OHL (with all due respect of course). A hands on coach like Torts and him most likely having some defensively reliable wingers will do wonders for his development.
  22. Buck is still a legit starting quarterback.... when healthy. In a limited role, he can be very effective, just like when he and Jarious Jackson were fighting for the starter's spot.
  23. Maybe MG sees Corrado as equal, if not greater ability than Tanev. Now he's just waiting for some team to offersheet Chris Tanev, thus he can blame the other team and player.
