totally agree with you firing AV and gillis have to be this organizations worst moves in their history. Now it's basically a guarantee we will suck for 5-10 years. Gillis was just starting to rebuild this team (kassian, horvat, shinkaruk, Maithas,) they fired him to early.

The stupid people were the ones calling for AV's head and that resulted in his firing which has been a disaster so far. Now that gillis is gone the queit people who supported gillis are expressing their frustration since they know this is bad move.

stop being in denial look at the canucks record agaisnt the conteders last year and look at it now. AV is the better coach hands down and firing him was a huge mistake. This is even a bigger mistake. I can't believe this our team is being dismantled just like every other canadian team that goes to the finals does. This is a sad sad day.

As much as people hate the leafs they definitely don't belong there. I was actually expecting them to do well cause of their forward depth. Unfortunately the goalies covering their defensive mistakes could not last forever and I believe that's what cost them their spot.

compare our forward injuries to last year, compare the minutes of the players to last year, compare this year the people getting injured to AV's 7 years. Our most durable players in Hank, Daniel and Burrows have all missed time this year with multiple injuries; that never happened with AV. A lot of those posters aren't crazy/
