  1. In theory this could work in our favour because it keeps Juolevis cost low for an extra year. 2019-2020 will be last year of his ELC now. Our top 3 picks from last year will be 22 and likely contributing in the NHL as regulars or call ups on ELC. Our current crop of NHL youngsters will be 24 and up. Hopefully needing larger cap hits because they are good. McAvoy is going to need a big raise before the Bruins are contending again. Sergachev also will need a raise in the middle of Tampas window. I had Sergachev above Juolevi which was not consensus, but what is not debateable is the fact Sergachev was an NHL ready body at 18 and Juolevi was not. I hope Juolevi can produce offense at a good clip in the NHL, but mostly I hope he can shutdown other top players. We need that a lot. A real 2 way d man with decent size and great transition game.
  2. He's been elite this year. Still 2 years of WJC eligability too. Good time to have one of the best Canadian jumior goalies. Should at least make the team, if not be the #1
  3. Probably for the best at this point. He can learn the game in the SHL and come over if he progresses well.
  4. Boeser needs to be in a position to succeed which includes powerplay time and guys who can get him the puck. I'm fine with him sitting here and there if he's not going to get that for a game.
  5. I've done the research. 0 players who produced at a similar rate to Goldobin last year went on to play a full year in the NHL the following year. It is 100% normal for him to be going up and down this year. Cull needs to get him to the next level though.
  6. Woah, don't get mono from Dahlen kk?
  7. Jake was noticeable in a good way again tonight. He tried a couple moves that I havent seen him make before. Would have been nice to score on the breakaway, but overall, a good effort.
  8. Highlight of his primary assist
  9. Juolevi is trying to do too much right now. Just needs to simplify his game.
  10. Yup, more adult supervision = better board play.
  11. He looked a but suprised at the speed, but showed his smarts and good hands on the goal. I have a feeling him and McEneny will be the Comets top pair
  12. Pettersson uses his body position so well for his size in board battles. Once he gets his man strength he will be very hard to get the puck from down low
  13. Two top young d prospects, Chabot and McAvoy, both are 97 birthdays, Juolevi is a season behind those guys. Give him a year.

    Anton Rodin | RW/LW

I think Rodin is gonna make the team. Green will love his hard fore check and good puck skills.
  15. I wonder what Pettersson is making in Vaxjo this year?
  16. Personally I would only put him in 1 pre season game. He just needs to see the speed, but you don't want him to get hurt. He plays an abrasive style and if he tries that against men now it won't work. You don't want him to change his game either, just keep getting faster and stronger. His goal should be to earn a spot on the WJC team if he can.
  17. Yup. He's smart and a hard worker, so he just has to go out there and do it!
  18. He's AHL eligible after this season, so in theory he could be playing in the AHL at the end of the season if Kelowna doesn't do well. It's a huge year for him to go from a top junior prospect to a top pro prospect all by next fall.
  19. Good positioning, but lost quite a few battles later in the game. 1 thing that stuck out was him getting stripped of the puck behind the net, and he didn't try to get it back. His skating reminds me of Boeser when he got drafted. Decent speed, but floats more than he should. Boeser has fixed that, hope Lind can too!
  20. Looks like he is playing for the Comets once he is back from Mono
  21. Summary of everything on his contract today for you!
  22. Certainly seems like playing in the NHL helped him become a better player.
