  1. When I was watching Gaudette, all I could think was man this is how I want Sutter to play. They actually have some similar attributes, but Gaudette has the illusive playmaking abilities to go with the solid wrister. Really hoping he can take his game to a new level at the NCAA again this year. I think he could step into the NHL at the end of the season without a big problem. The structured game of the NCAA really suits the jump to the pro game well. Of course the speed and strength factors go up a big notch, but the way the game is played is not that far off.
  2. He's a game breaker for sure, definitely struggles along the wall though. I'm sure a year in the SHL playing wing will help him a lot in board battles, not to mention a few extra pounds and some added strength. Overall couldn't have asked for much more from him in this game. He's composed on the breakout, and very good in the neutral zone. Decent defensively as well. Will be exciting for him and Gaudette to battle in out for top 6 mins in a couple years.
  3. Just want him to make it to the USA camp healthy. Would have been great to see him play though. He was fun to watch last year.
  4. Was a surprise omission on the original list for sure.
  5. I agree, but I do think it is a better long term indication of performance than any 1 tournament by itself. Agreed?
  6. International Jr. Career Stats For All Tournaments: 11G 26A in 60 Games 0.62 Points Per Game Career Playoff Stats: 12G 23A in 22 Games 1.59 Points Per Game 1 3 game tournament is a small sample size compared to his performance over his career. I understand that tournament get's overlooked, but it doesn't impact his career totals much.
  7. Even better then! Thanks for grabbing those.
  8. OJ drinking those milk shakes. Stoked for him to have the strength to compete in the corners more though. I'm sure that will help him regardless of where he plays next year.
  9. Nice one, ya even compared to those other top prospects he out performed all of the in the postseason.
  10. Looked back at the draft year highlights for Nylander, Pastrnak, and Wennberg. Pettersson is easily there with those guys in terms of skill. Wennberg was 6'1.5" 185 Pastrnak was 5'11" 170 Nylander was 5'11.5" 173 Even last year in the playoffs he had 4 points in 5 games, and then followed that up with 6 in 3 games this year. He is a playoff performer more than an international tournament performer.
  11. Shoot out winner is a goal in sweden so they probably took that one out. However his 6 points in 3 playoff games more than makes up for that difference. Taking out the shootout winner and adding playoffs brings him ti 46 in 46.
  12. Defence is probably the biggest difference between the two during their draft years. Pettersson is pretty good at defence and back checking, Nylander was not. Nylander at 18 was faster and had a harder shot for sure though. They are different players in my mind.
  13. Zabransky, Libor Selected by Kelowna in the expansion draft. Right shot D from Czech league, who is draft eligible next year. Could be a solid addition for Lind and the Rockets
  14. Oshawa selected Nico Gross out of Switzerland in the expansion draft. A chance he comes over and plays with Brassard, as he is a LD. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=319554
  15. Thanks, but It's not mine. If you want to know about it more, this is the guy who modified the origional to where it is now: https://canucksarmy.com/2017/06/23/the-big-seal-reveal-adjusted-scoring-for-first-time-eligible-prospects/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Also at 1.73 points per game over 69 games (same as cody Glass) it would be 119 points 44% of his points were goals in the Allsvenskan so that would be 52 goals and 67 assists... Jeepers Even if Seal adjusted scoring is off by 20% that's still a 96 point CHL season for Pettersson.
  16. In the Pettersson vs Glass thread we talked a bit about league adjusted scoring. Based on the data we have now Pettersson's scoring in Timra this year is about twice as hard as the CHL, that means he would have scored roughly 1.91 points per game in the CHL. Given his age and situational points that number is brought down to 1.73 points per game using SEAL adjusted scoring. You can see the SEAL adj. scoring for this draft class from Nucks Army guys here: If we look at all u19 players who scored with about 20% of 1.91 points per game in the OHL for instance (draft year or draft +1) we get a few nice names out of there: Tavares Marner Spezza Bennett Dylan Strome Taylor Raddysh Matthew Tkachuk Taylor Hall Alex Galchenyuk Travis Konecny Connor McDavid Cody Hodgson Stamkos Seguin Ryan Strome Nail Yakupov Wellwood Ho-Sang Perry Little Fabbri Debrincat Dal Colle Christian Dvorak Bobby Ryan Toffoli Adam Mascherin It's not a perfect list of all stars, but there are some great players there.
  17. Looking back at Dahlens draft year highlights he took a big step forward this year. His speed and power to get by guys or to rebounds improved a lot. Hoping Pettersson can also take his game to the next level quickly too!
  18. I still like Jasek. He is an effective player in his own age group. A couple years to hone his skill and strength should be perfect before transitioning to North America. He kind of reminds me of Megna, but the good parts, skating, decent hands, back checks hard and so fourth.
  19. Question for everyone, with Rathbone going back to highschool this year, would he be eligible to play in the prospects tourney since his season won't start in high school until later? I assume he would need to pay his own way, but I think he could do so. Alternatively will he play in the USHL at the start of the year similar to Middlestadt this past year?
  20. Well we have a lot of fringe NHLers that will be pushing for spots, and in his first season I think Green will reward the guys who work hardest and produce in preseason. Gaurenteed forwards imo. Sedin Sedin Granlund Baertachi Horvat Eriksson Gaunce Sutter Dorsett (not a line probs) Boucher Goldobin Boeser Dahlen Virtanen Chaput (need an extra centre) Megna LaBate Molino Will be interesting to see if we sign any UFA forwards too. On top of that we have Utica players like: Cassels Carcone Mcewan D'Aoust Mckenzie Maybe Valk or Archibald too?
  21. Is it just me or is there a legit chance this guy could come into camp in great shape, a little quicker and earn a spot in the top 9? Depending on how he looks in September we could see Green take this guy from tweener to 20 goal scorer.
  22. His name is so perfect for alliteration Petrus Palmu on the Power Play, Puts it home from the Point... I'm sure there are more.
  23. Woop woop! Happy about that.
