It took Baertschi nearly 4 years and over 100 NHL games to finally figure out how to play effectively in the big leagues. Goldobin has 52 NHL games over 3 years, and I'm not surprised in the least he hasn't put it all together yet. Hopefully by the start of next year we see Green trusting him to play 12 mins a night and get some limited PP time.

Hope he can pick it up soon. Vaxjo needs some 5v5 scoring.

Brisebois is scoring at a slightly higher clip .25 than Chris Tanev .23 did in his first AHL season.

The really interesting part of Lind's season is how his primary points jumped up and his second assists dropped drastically. Let's look at Cody Glass for comparison just because everyone knows him. CODY GLASS 2016/17 0.99 P1/GP 2017/18 1.19 P1/GP +20% 2016/17 0.39 A2/GP 2017/18 0.41 A2/GP +4% KOLE LIND 2016/17 0.86 P1/GP 2017/18 1.45 P1/GP +68% 2016/17 0.39 A2/GP 2017/18 0.19 A2/GP -49% Secondary assists (A2) are widely regarded as a more luck than skill based point (There is some grey area especially on the PP) Looking at this information should tell us that if Lind simply had the same luck as last year from other players scoring we could add another 12 A2's onto his point total this year. That would be 107P in 58GP. Extrapolating that out to the 70 game mark he hit last year would give us: 47G 54A1 27A2 128 points in 70 games

Some serious consistency to end the year this year. He's been a point per game d man for about 30 games now. I wonder if the Canucks think hes ready for the AHL next season?
-
Will he get to 100? That's usually the mark people look at as elite for junior.

Gunnarsson is an interesting pick because he's in very good shape, but needs to develop some puck skills to make the transition to being a valuable pro. He's one of those guys who probably moved up too fast because of his physical attributes, when he needed to focus on his skill. He already has 107 games as a pro and just turned 21. Hopefully he can get some skill development time, and improve his passing and shot.
-
Apparently Lasch was injured so Pettersson may be in the clear for the scoring title baring a big run of points from Lindstrom
-
He is mostly a winger, similar to Gaunce in that way.
-
My favourite thing about this year for Dahlen is that he is learning to drive the bus. Last year, he could let Pettersson do that from time to time. This year he has to do it every game. It will make his transition to the NHL much faster. Bo took about 2 years of pro to learn how to drive play, and Baertschi is still figuring it out. I think Dahlen can come in and be an impact player as early as next year. Top 9 winger who is a 15 and 15 guy.

I wonder how Pettersson is using this break to get better? From the sounds of things he loves to work on his skill and does the weights because it helps his game not cause he enjoys it. I imagine he will be fresh for the final push of his season and may even go on a tear offensively
-
He's exactly what Jim is looking for, big tough forward with some skill. Perfect complimentary piece on a variety of lines.
-
Definitely looked engaged tonight. I thought he could have had another goal and an assist in the second period with a bit of luck. When he has a little space and speed he knows how to attack. Not the best off the wall though.
-
Vaxjo certainly loaded up for the rest of the season. I'm surprised they didn't get anyone else for the CHL final, but that seemed more like a blip than anything else. I think it's still better for Pettersson to play wing right now. He'll have more opportunities to develop his skill, and can work on his 2 way game in the middle of the ice later.
-
He has a little something extra for the Bruins usually. I think the 2011 finals left a mark on him as a kid. Jake definitely has the ability to change games by getting the puck on the rush. If you think about his 15 points this season with 0 power play time it's not really that bad. He would be scoring around 22 even strength points playing 12 mins a game. If he can get himself a spot on the PK and PP eventually he could score 40 points a season. Mostly I want to see him on the PK. If Eriksson does 1 thing here it should be teaching Jake how to PK. Just imagining him blocking a shot or intercepting a pass and going end to end.

Svech is a beast, no way we should pass on him if he's there. He would mix very well with a guy like Goldobin. Goldy plays a similar style to Denisenko who just lit it up with Svech at the 5 nations. I would easily put Gaudette in the middle of those 2 and expect them to be a great line.
-
There are only a handful of guys who have scored more than Gaudette has this season over the last few years. Danton Heinen is actually a decent comparable for Adam. I think Gaudette can be better though. He' scored more goals at the NCAA level, and has a better points per game in his collegiate career as well. Just looked at Joe Pavelski too. 7th round pick who scored at a similar rate to Gaudette at age 20 in the NCAA.

Ive seen it. Good article on how he was the only elite talent available. Will try and find it for you. Think it was on the pension plan puppets website
-
Judd knows him well apparently. Same with Gaudette. You have to give Benning credit for promoting Judd into his role and trusting him though. Thats good GM work

Sikura is more dynamic with the puck than Cagguila was. DC has a good shot, but the creativity of DS is something to get excited about.
-
I wonder why he has dropped in production? Hopefully he learns from this tough streak and becomes a more consistant scorer for it in the future
-
Seems like he was omitted due to unforseen circumstances. Button didnt expect to have that many good Canuck prospects already. To be fair though he is in his 4th WHL season compared to others producing at a similar rate in their 3rd. Lots of upside with Lind though.
-
Still looks like 2 top six forwards + 3 middle six forwards + 3 bottom six forwards. Potentially 3 top four D as well.

Vaxjo loses 2-0 in the Champions league final. Missed their chances on the powerplay, especially a lengthy 5 on 3. Game winning goal is the story as Fasth missed a long shot that he could see all the way. JYP goalie was fantastic though. Vaxjo missed a lot of chances. Pettersson played reasonably well, but looked a little nervous at times, understandable given the situation.

Powerplay for the last minute and a half for Vaxjo.
