What I don't get is Pittsburg offering up pieces that every team in the league already has with the exception of Pouliot if he's actually been offered. There's 30 Sutter's, and 30 Despres's, and only 1 Ryan Kesler in the whole league! Who else goes as beast mode as Kesler in the playoffs? we should be getting untouchable players back, because Kesler is in that class. How often do teams ever have the opportunity to add someone like him? It almost never happens unless your paying Minnesota money to UFA's. Shero's rumored offers are so far away that it actually scares me. MG don't mess this up or the entire fan base will turn against you pretty much!

Is Luongo sitting out again because he's in play?

If we land first overall in any roster player trade I'll be okay with it. -
Don't know if it's a career high yet, but his +- has improved and he's been labelled as an offensive D by some. I think his real strength is puck movement from his own end and he showed a decent ability to get pucks through at times. He's third in D scoring on the Fronts, and is plus 11 since moving from kitchener.

I just don't like that report saying nucks have been scouting Depres... Makes me think Gillis has a list that he should have checked twice. His job depends on if it's naughty or nice. My ideal trading partners are CBJ ANA PHL I really want Etem, Silfverberg and Ottawa's first. That would be a good return for Kes. Big enough that I wouldn't mind playing him for the next 2 seasons on a regular basis. Ottawa's pick is likely top 10 and with our own top 10 pick we would be getting two middle 6 prospects, one who has a ton of EXP with Shinkaruk, and likely a first line/top pair prospect with the pick. Could add a second in 2015 if we could pull it.

Very interesting. If true, I hope we manage to either get Pouliot instead of the other 2 Dmen or make it two firsts. CHICAGO — The Penguins know which player they want to acquire before the NHL trade deadline Wednesday. Vancouver center Ryan Kesler is being pursued aggressively by Penguins general manager Ray Shero, multiple sources told the Tribune-Review on Saturday. A proposed deal would send Kesler to the Penguins in exchange for center Brandon Sutter, two 2014 draft picks — likely a first- and third-round — and the Canucks' choice of defensemen Simon Despres or Brian Dumoulin, the sources said. It is possible the deal could involve another Canucks and Penguins player, but Shero was looking only to acquire Kesler, the sources said. The trade deadline is 3 p.m. Wednesday. Shero has made at least one move in the month advancing or at the deadline in six of seven previous seasons. Last season he acquired wingers Jarome Iginla, Brenden Morrow and Jussi Jokinen and defenseman Douglas Murray before the trade deadline. Only Jokinen remains. Shero would prefer not to add players on expiring contracts before this year's deadline, the sources said. Shero first inquired with Vancouver about Kesler in January prior to defenseman Kris Letang's stroke, the sources said. The Canucks since have heavily scouted Despres, a 2009 first-round pick, the sources said. Wennrberg has almost identical stats as Jensen did in the SHL but playing on a pretty decent Frolunda team compared to AIK last year. Wennberg, Jenner, and a first 2015 would be pretty good return offensively. Both project as 2line ceilings though, I would like to see a first line prospect in the mix.

When I've gotten mixed messages in a relationship it usually means it's over. Just saying, no confirm, no deny, multiple rumours, multiple sources, olympics, pre season, mid season, there's no way in my mind that all of this add's up to nothing. Something is happening we just don't know what it actually is.

1A for Gaunce so far in Erie's game today so far. We should start calling this guy Mr. Consistency. Something we could use at the pro level.

Blake Clarke in the third would be a great pickup. The tools are there just needs to build that consistancy

Useful ranking, recent update http://thehockeywriters.com/2014-nhl-draft-rankings-february-edition/

Eric Cornel would be a good choice in that spot as well. I'm hoping Karlsson or Kempe fall to us in the second though.

So far no warning points, warning them is really all we can do. If they choose to click play knowing the content may offend them it's out of our hands. I can see it working for hidden content like a video, but openly typing bad language would probably not fly even with a disclaimer at the top. A lot of the issues with the world today revolve around not offending people, and I get it that people should have the right to avoid this stuff if they choose, but eventually everything will have to have a warning because it will be offensive to someone or group. Respect is the key! respecting other peoples boundaries, while also respecting the choices some people make may conflict with your own! It's a 2 way street, just like Horvat is a 2 way player. (segue way) One of the major things Bo has earned in his time as a Canucks prospect, and as a hockey player in general is respect. He's the guy everybody wants on their team. He works hard, he plays hard, he can beat you with power, and he can beat you with finesse. He's always going to be the guy you want on the ice in a close game, and for those reasons he's invaluable as a prospect to us. Determination, and being able to play fast without being rushed will potentially make him into one of the best Canucks of his generation. Here's to Bo! I've heard he Knows.
