  1. Feel bad for Pearce, hitting it hard but not finding the hole.
  2. Idk what you're talking about, mete is gonna be a 5 time all-star 3 time gold Glover and MVP.

  4. the cavs were the first to team to come back from 3-1 in the nba finals.
  5. its because the thread is basically a bunch of morons whining who also dont know when to shut the &^@# up.
  6. When kes was 24 he got 37 points (21 goals), granlund is 23 and had 32 points (19 goals) in his first full year this year while playing 69 games, if granny played the 80 games kes has in his 24 y/o year he would be on pace to score 37 points and 22 goals, this is also not putting to the fact that granny was on fire prior to shutting him down for the season.
  7. does anyone have a video of Horvat fighting Pedan back in junior?

  10. Sutter was right when he said that Goldy needs to find the balls to get in the dirty areas.

people who are saying that Sutter has no right to say something like that are really oblivious to the fact that in this case Goldy is only starting his NHL career whereas Sutter has played 9? Seasons and has seen enough players come through the loop to know what you need to do in order to find success in the league.

That's a good question Vinny. What we don't know is how many times 1 or more people said the same or similar things to, or if they had any effect on, Goldobin prior to Sutter's public comments. Whether Sutter is the epitome of a battling forward is irrelevant. He's at the end of his 9th year in the league so he obviously knows a thing or 2 about what it takes to STAY in this league.

The media, with absolutely nothing better to do with themselves, take the opportunity to put a negative spin on several cherry picked situations and slap out a "story".

That article was peppered with so much bias I couldn't even finish it. Waste of a read.

One thing I find, and I suppose it's human nature, is that when the team's doing well, the articles all tend to be positive and is all about how good the team's character is and great plays that are made. When the team's doing terrible, every sports writer all of a sudden becomes a President/GM/Coach as every little thing gets magnified. But imho, the players need to know this as well - I don't know, if I were a player and the team's not doing well, I'll be extra cautious about what I mention to the media as they'll be out for blood.

I agree with you for the most part, but these guys aren't running for office so they really shouldn't give a hoot about what the media writes or thinks, and I'd wager most of them don't.
