  1. The problem with canucks is they dont act like a business  in busines you buy low sell high

after 2011 sedins kesler edler burr  should have been traded but instead we waste cap for yrs on over the hill players not getting the job done and never getting assets back. Or we are loyal to garbage players like megna, raymond, larsen. And dont give other players a chance pedan subban maybe yakupov  should get a chance here cant be worse than megna

yaa but theres a point when your on ice performance  has to be taken into account we have been horrible last 5 yrs  due to geing to loyal. Look at hawks they traded saad, panarin,  neimi and a ton of other players thats how you win 3 cups in 7 yrs or watever it is.  you take risks  not stick with garbage status quo. I love bennings drafting is top notch but this business wont be successful signing guys like megna, hunnwick, thats trash.

guys like megna, etc. are filler guys for rebuilds, getting chances on a rebuilding team they'd never get otherwise. Larsen was 1 year flyer, I could see your point if we re-signed him. Jim got fantastic returns for Burr and Hansen. Kesler wasn't bad given his agent said publicly there were only 2  teams he'd be willing to go to. Bonino becomes Suttter who despite the crap he takes, is the guy that does most of the shut down heavy lifting.

The Sedin's are franchise players, of course you are loyal to them. How many guys do we have left from 2011... 5? thats hardly hanging on to the past.

I guess Benning could have started the rebuild a year or two earlier but I don't think the ownership was up for that yet.

The canucks trading the Sedins and Kesler after 2011 would be equivalent to the Hawks trading Toews and Kane after 2010. That's how important they were to the team. They weren't complimentary pieces which are what the Hawks trade away.
