  1. I feel like don cherrys time has come and gone  hes to old school.i like that hurricanes celebrate their wins after the game. Cherry says it demeans the game  but in reality don sounds like trump which demeans everything.

@Baer.   Thing is, it could have an effect on other teams if they start joining in.  That was my initial thought when I was leaning toward being opposed to this.  Let's face it, teams need to focus and take things seriously.  But then I considered how it could also help to bond teams ... having fun together is a big part of that.  And energize fanbases that have little to cheer about at times.

But it's not really "being a grump" to not like it....just a difference of opinion.

      Baer.

It's not being a grump to not like it. Calling them trained monkeys is being a grump.

But I do agree with you, it's not something I would want to see happening with every team.

I go hot and cold on Don.  LOVED him back in the day...flamboyant and took away the flat lines in it all.  But, over time, it's gotten redundant and very much a matter of been there, done that.  I still love when he goes away from the boisterous ranting and has discussion that is not so in your face.  He has a lot of good stories and these guys who tell the history of the game will be very much missed one day.  Which is why I kind of have gone back to an endearment thing as he does wind it down.  The old goat won't be around forever and will leave big...suits...to fill when he's gone.
