@canuktravella Before you go around calling people clueless maybe you should consider the context of those trades.. First off all of those trades, except Trouba, were at the deadline when prices are at a premium. You use points as the end all be all but include defencemen as examples which is laughable and completely irrelevant to Tanner Pearson considering he plays an entirely different position, not to mention both dmen were 24/25 years old when traded, they hold way more value. Goodrow is a physical center with size.. centers hold way more value than wingers.. plus traded at the deadline. Pageau was considered probably the most sought after center at the deadline plus he signed a 6 year deal after the trade.. irrelevant to Pearson's value. Kase was only 24 when traded and still an RFA.. irrelevant to Pearson's value. This was coleman's second 20goal year in a row and he had scored 21 goals in only 57 games when he was traded (~26-28 goal pace). Pearson has scored 15, 18, 21 goals the last 3 years. Pearson is serviceable in his role, responsible defensively but is really a 3rd line winger on a contender as he doesn't drive play offensively (which would also be considered by teams pro scouts...things beyond points/game).

sorry regardless of your opinion  pearson is in his  prime his value is a first rounder  he has better stats than every player other than zuckers abnormal 64 point season. He was on pace for 25 goals and 53 points in a full season  and hes responsible on defensive side as well. If pageau is so much better a commodity in trade is he  i 2nd and 3rd better regardless of time of yr  its doubtful
