My opinion cops in Calgary shouldn't worry about a kid playing pond hockey and tasing him maybe don't power trip maybe do your job and arrest drug dealers and gang members what is wrong with them its like no one has any conflict reduction training. Descalation wasn't hard to do being first person on scene at fight at bars usually it was easy to end that situation.

that old saying where's the cops when you need them? this just perpetuates the falling level of respect and or co-operation from the general public . conflict resolution yikes when you have cops blowing their fuses because you didnt comply fast enough. its not to hard to figure out why the perp didnt think he was doing anything wrong, given the innocent nature of the infraction . thats the scary part. wheres the cops when you need them?

The one thing I must also say is that guy should have just cooperated. You do have to give your name and it's likely they were going to issue a fine for a gathering and he should have just accepted that. His buddies seemed to get it but he was also pretty defiant. Mind you, when he asked "what did I do" they should have just repeated what they were questioning him for, for clarity sake. But their tactics were disgusting and seemed really unprofessional as they lacked an appropriate response. I think using the f word just really screamed that to me and they were ready to "act" rather than process.
