Yes it was... Not much on the guy. Hopefully soon we will have a highlight package of some good hits fights and goals in a Canucks uniform... And while we're at it with him hoisting the Stanley cup. One can dream

Decent fight. Seems to skate well. And I don't know if calling him a freak is the best choice of words.

The guy is a monster https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikita_Tryamkin listed as 6'8 250 on Wikipedia

Instead of 3 strides to cross the rink now it'll only take two

Looks like the fans really support the team down there... Not much else to do in North Dakota really.

That first goal was sick... Completely undressed the whole team.

UND currently has 11 NHL drafted players. Top OHL team has 5. Guess the scouts don't see what your seeing
-
The hype is strong with this one...

Didn't know that ND has 11 players drafter by the NHL. Maybe be the CHL isn't all that superior. http://www.wmubroncos.com/mobile/ViewArticle.dbml?atclid=210767188&DB_OEM_ID=4600& "PRO POTENTIAL: North Dakota’s 11 NHL draft picks are the most on a team that Western Michigan will face this season. Amongst the 11 are two first-round draft picks in sophomore Nick Schmaltz and freshman Brock Boeser. Boeser’s leads the NCHC in goals scored with 22. • SCOUTING THE FIGHTING HAWKS, AGAIN: North Dakota enters the weekend needing just one point to repeat as NCHC Regular Season Champions and are 12-2-1 at home this season. The Fighting Hawks boast the 10th-ranked offense in the nation, averaging 3.35 goals per game and are led by Boeser and his 37 points. The Vancouver Canuck draft pick leads the team with 22 goals and is fifth on the team with 15 assists." Compared to top OHL team Erie Otters (Connor McDavid's team) currently 5 NHL drafted players. http://www.draftsite.com/nhl/ohl/erie/otters/182/history/2015-2010/0/

http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/3959414-und-mens-hockey-early-uncertainty-thing-past-fighting-hawks "Some rookies have had their growing pains, but for the most part, they’ve adapted fine, too. Brock Boeser will likely win the league’s rookie of the year award and is one week away from winning the NCHC scoring title, too." some more praise for Boeser

True, he seems pretty dedicated to hockey tho and I'd think he wouldn't want to turn down a shot to play earlier, either way let's hope the Canucks don't let him slip through the cracks.
-
Let's hope he doesn't decide to quit hockey to pursue academics... having said that, he's in a good place to do both!

Looking forward to what this kid can do in the NHL. http://www.thedickinsonpress.com/sports/college/3954026-schlossman-brock-boeser-showing-why-hes-rare-player-these-days Schlossman: Brock Boeser showing why he’s a rare player these days By Brad Schlossman / Forum News Service Today at 12:49 a.m. GRAND FORKS -- Minnesota Duluth played a fine game Saturday night. There was only one problem: Brock Boeser found some open space for two seconds in the third period. That’s all it can take for the North Dakota freshman to decide a college hockey game. In an era where goal scoring is at a premium because of advanced goaltending styles and defensive methods, Boeser is the rarest of players. He’s a pure goalscorer, who buries an ordinate number of his scoring chances. For most players — even dazzling offensive stars like former UND forward Rocco Grimaldi — they may score one goal for each seven or eight Grade A chances that they generate. For Boeser, it often only takes one. And that’s what has to be maddening for opposing teams. A few weeks ago in Western Michigan, Boeser wasn’t even having a strong overall game, but he decided it late in the third. With the game tied 0-0, he found a puck near the slot area, made a move to his backhand and flipped it in at a sharp angle. He tacked on the empty-netter that night for a 2-0 victory. One day later, the teams were tied 1-1 late in the second period, when he got a puck in the circle. Broncos goalie Lukas Hafner squared up, but Boeser flat-out beat him with a wrister. The final score was 2-1. Western Michigan played two fine games and generated as many scoring chances as UND. The difference was that the Broncos didn’t have a player who needs just one scoring chance to score. UND did. On Saturday night, it happened again. Minnesota Duluth was playing a fine road game, had it tied 1-1 late in the third and was outshooting UND. But Boeser got the puck with space, skated a couple of strides and ripped it past goalie Kasimir Kaskisuo. The final score was 2-1. In the four games between UND and Minnesota Duluth this season, the Bulldogs scored two goals on 139 shots. Boeser scored three in 11 shots. Why is Minnesota Duluth 11-14-5, despite having outshot its opponent in 26 of 30 games this season? A big reason is because it does not have a natural finisher. They aren’t exactly easy to find these days. Boeser now has 20 goals on the season. Since Ralph Engelstad Arena opened, the only other UND rookies to do that are Zach Parise, Travis Zajac, Jonathan Toews and T.J. Oshie — all currently NHL stars. UND fans have been fortunate enough to see plenty of other pure goalscorers come through The Ralph in recent years. Brandon Bochenski, Ryan Duncan, Matt Frattin and Brock Nelson come to mind. Boeser is already in that class. There are two weeks left of the regular season, then the playoffs begin. And Boeser may not be at the top of his game for all of them (what rookie is?). But even if one of those games arises, be patient. In two seconds, he can completely change it.
