Loved Hansen. Every shift was full out...of control.

This is the first game of the season I really have expectations on. The start of the season I give them some time to come together and since they had been playing so good I wasn't worried about a loss. But now we are fully into the season and they've just lost some games they need to pull it together and win against one of the worst teams in the league. No excuses not to play a darn good game here today. Time to dominate!

Not gonna lie I thoroughly enjoyed the ref giving Thornton a penalty for mouthing off from the bench.

The Ducks pressured on the power play and the Canucks handled it poorly. JT Miller especially made some bad passes. I loved that move Brock did going to the backhand in ot, keep the defense guessing by not being too predictable. Good stuff.

Need to be careful not to take the Ducks too lightly, they're 5-1 at home.

I'm loving the quick puck movement on the power play. I'm a big believer in an active fast moving power play and with the personnel this team has I hope that continues to be a priority for them.

So much happened in that game, overall an entertaining game that was fun to watch. Pearson was terrible, no way would I have given him OT time or a SO spot. With a 5-1 lead and only a few seconds left in a period maybe worry less about winning board battles and more about defending the slot.

Thank you Demko. OT was fantastic, not sure how Canucks didn't get a goal with all those great opportunities.

I was nervous with how the game started but the Nucks settled in and played a really strong game. Enjoyed Motte's return to the line up. I'm still not really sure why that game got so testy, it just sort of sprang up out of nowhere.

Ain't Talkin Bout love is a pretty darn good pick for goal song, cheers to whoever picked it.

Still early so I'm not gonna worry about what it looked like just happy to get the W. Good to see AV, hope he does well this year(except for the 1 game Canucks play in Phily).

Nice of Tanev to help out Hughes with his offensive game and get him an assist.

Very frustrating result. I was happy with most of the top end guys so it was feeling pretty good there until the Oilers took the lead. I could have been ok with getting 1 point, but getting nothing out of that game stings

Finally! This is the most excited I've been for the Canucks to start a season in a long time.

Looks like not drafting Ho-Sang was a good move. The whole Baer thing is disappointing, he was one of the few young players with offensive ability that the Canucks had for awhile. Hopefully he can stay healthy this season regardless of where he plays.

I don't like this the guy is dirty, hopefully he doesn't play any games against the Canucks.

I hear lifting a 35 pound weight over your head can put a lot of stress on your hips, fortunately that won't be an issue for Kesler.

The Canucks playing fast hockey and pressuring other teams. We saw some of it last year and they should be able to improve on it this year.

I think this would be unpopular amongst the players, they're probably looking forward to Markstrom backstopping them for a serious playoff push this season.

The thing is it's not my choice either way so for now I'm looking forward and excited to see how the team does. These last few years have been brutal and it's nice to finally have a team that should at least be able to compete on a nightly basis and are entertaining to watch while doing it. The dark period of tanking is hopefully over for a long time.
