  1. Why should he? If Akim wanted an apology, he could call up Peters anytime and man to man hashed it out. Instead he comes out to try to destroy him over something he said 10 years ago. Peters is wrong on the racial slur but Akim is wrong for trying to get everyone to hate the guy.
  2. Not much of a career. He got traded the next year. Why didn't he say anything at that time?
  3. Why didn't the player come out ten years ago? And have public opinion judge him at that time? A lot of things can happen in ten years. Many people who have said racist things back in the day, don't say them now.
  4. He brought it up with the coach didn't he? He could have gone to the GM back then and had him fired then. Why ten years later?
  5. Then why bring it up ten years later? It's over why bring it up if you dealt with it? If we all did that, the internet would explode.
  6. Just a difference in growing up. If someone said like that to me back in the day then I would have handled it with him man to man then just let it go. There are many people who have said racist things to me over the years that is wrong but as much as that is morally wrong. It is also morally wrong for me to try to ruin someone's life over it.
  7. Then it is time to judge all people of all colors because I have often heard white and colored people using racial slurs. I still hear a lot of colored people using racial slurs on white people and no one judges them about it.
  8. And so it is right for us to judge what happens in a locker room over ten years ago? I'm actually more sad for the accuser who can't let it go.
  9. It wasn't a good word to use but back in the day private conversations stayed that and they weren't any other people's business. Now it's this person hurt my feelings so lets get the court of public judgement to hurt this guy over a private matter.
  10. People get offended a lot more easily nowadays then before though and people don't get thier life destroyed over stupid comments. Everyone says dumb things at times but doesn't mean people should judge thier whole lives because of it.
  11. If accusers are going to come out of the woodwork at least have proof before you go and ruin someone's life.
  12. It was a different society ten to fifteen years ago though. Things that are not accepted now were no so unacceptable ten years ago. Also why are we so quick at just taking the accusers word? Because he's claiming racism and so we need to be outraged by it regardless if it is proven or not?
  13. Yes but passing judgement on something that happened 10 years ago going on he said he said? Also it's a little unfair for the woke to judge people at a time when society wasn't woke.
  14. Ten years ago? And this isn't even on video or anything, just he said he said. Racism is wrong but isn't this the land where someone is innocent till proven guilty? Even the law has a statutue of limitations.
  15. As much as you want to teach the younger players what not to do, you don't want them to think that the organization will bury him either.
  16. If he's going to the AHL, I would rather they do to him the same as they did with Gagner and loan him to another team.
  17. He has already shown he's bitter with his icetime in the off season. He's played like he doesn't care anymore. The games he has played in looks like he is just showing up for a paycheck. Most players, when they come off the press box has an extra step in their game to show that they belong. Has Eriksson done that? And that's with him still in the NHL. If he gets to the AHL, I just don't see him working his but off to get back into the NHL. Now if you are a young player seeing a six million dollar player floating around you don't think that it's going to cause an affect?
  18. Yeah, No. The pairing of Edler and Myers is one of the best defensive combo I have seen in Vancouver in a long time. THat and he plays an entirely different role to Eriksson so you can't really compare. One is defence and the other is a forward. Also if you were an opponent who is thinking of running Boeser or Petey, who would make you reconsider Eriksson or Myers.
  19. I would not want Eriksson anywhere near our young players right now. A bitter 6 million dollar player playing with our impressionable young players? I would rather have him eating nachos in the pressbox.
  20. No, Linden was the better player period. Right now, Given everything Bo has done at his age and what Linden did at the same age, the comparison isn't even fair. Better stats and he was already the captain. If Bo can captain the Canucks to a Stanley cup then we can circle back to it. But as of right now, maybe the status of a Naslund.
  21. And that's why it costs so much to live in the city. Too much demand, not enough supply.
  22. You want to shoot Sutter into the Pacific Ocean, then you say "As much as I like him?" Good thing you don't hate him.
  23. I am also sure that they would but to me it's not about that. It's about the attitude. People have the freedom to participate and not participate that's true but can there be something that can bring people together. The people who have been here for while with the people who have not? From what I have seen a vast majority of people who come here from other countries end up conglomerating with other people who come from the same parts of the world and stay within those social circles. If you immigrate to Canada, great! Glad to have you, now let's celebrate together and mourn together.
