  1. Bo may be better than I think but not Linden better. Kesler better, maybe but not Linden better.
  2. Linden was the first Canucks rookie to score thirty goals. Horvat? 10. First Canucks rookie to win the Cyclone Taylor award for Canuck MVP. Linden took over Captaincy at 21. Led the Canucks to thier first Divisional title since 74. Led the Canucks in points from rookie until Bure. What did Horvat do?
  3. First Three years of Linden 1988–89 Vancouver Canucks NHL 80 30 29 59 41 7 3 4 7 8 1989–90 Vancouver Canucks NHL 73 21 30 51 43 — — — — — 1990–91 Vancouver Canucks NHL 80 33 37 70 65 6 0 7 7 2 First three years of Horvat 2014–15 Vancouver Canucks NHL 68 13 12 25 16 6 1 3 4 2 2015–16 Vancouver Canucks NHL 82 16 24 40 18 — — — — — Linden was the youngest Captain of the Canucks. Linden went second overall, Horvat went 9th. Horvat doesn't come close.
  4. He's been inconsistant this year. In the eyes of Canuck fans he's the second coming of Linden but in the NHL, he's average.
  5. Gotta see who the player is, Yes there are players that develope straight out of the NHL but some players get there not because it's best for thier developement but because there are no other better players for the team that's available. We can say Horvat is doing this or doing that but imagine if Horvat spent a couple of years in the AHL rather than the NHL, wouldn't Horvat would have dominated the AHL and come out a completely different player?
  6. For the sake of Jake, I hope they don't call him back up until next season. Good for progression and better than being apart of the mess that is going on right now in Vancouver,
  7. As I've said time and time again. Still wish we still have Luongo.
  8. Edler will just teach him how to disappear in games.
  9. Now they need to hire a shooting specialist to teach Tryamkin how to get his shots through
  10. He's turning out to be pretty solid
  11. Can't we just call it what it is and get it over with, a common sophmore slump.
  12. Jake needs to go to Utica period and learn the game at the AHL level and playing more period. Not everyone can be Bo Horvat but many people can be Burrows, Hansen, Tanev, Kesler, Schneider and Bieksa.
  13. I'm still wondering why a tough guy like Martin went after Stecher instead of Tryamkin. Both are rookies. "scratching head"
  14. I want to see Tryamkin give Lucic a hard "That's what you get for not signing with the Canucks" check.
  15. I think Larson should sit since he hasn't really done anything anyways. Sbisa and Tryamkin would form a bruising pair.
  16. The problem with the Vancouver real estate market is simple, there is simply too much demand than the supply that is available. While Vancouver is increasing in population, the amount of high- residential buildings getting built is not catching up. Vancouverites simply like thier scenery and lifestyle too much to let so many high residential buildings get built quickly. As of result too many big houses taking up the space that otherwise could have housed over a thousand people by simply building up. Apartments are more affordable than homes and if there were more built, the prices would become more affordable.
  17. Thanks, I'm suprised Henrik never even got a misconduct.
  18. Quick question: Have either of the Sedins actually been in a fight in the NHL?
  19. With Granlund, I doubt Gaunce would crack the center position barring an injury, pitting Gaunce in the fourth line can free up Burrows for second/third line duty. Sedin-Sedin-Eriksson Baer-Horvat-Hansen Burrows-Sutter-Etem Gaunce-Granlund-Dorsett With Baer, I still want to see him chasing a playoff spot.
  20. McCann seems to me like a second line or bust type of player with Horvat and Sutter, McCann just wasn't going to do it. Personally I have a bit of a soft spot for Gaunce as he was slowly brought up by Vancouver so hopefully he can be that rough winger Benning is looking for. Baer needs a little more strength to get into the hard areas. My thing with Baer is I need to see him do well in games that count.
  21. This guy is going to be a 6 million dollar defenceman. The way he adjusted to the NHL in such a short time to the way he manhandled some of the opposing players. With a little more work on his shot and accuracy, he's a future number one pairing defenceman,
