  1. I'd like to see Bo actually anchoring the third line and take some heat off his shoulders. When Sutter is heathy, he will be a guud number two center and Bo can play against weaker opponents for his third year. This will help him gain confidence and score at a more efficient rate.
  2. Traditionally, D's take longer to develop than forwards so putting him in the NHL is just going to wreck his confidence. I would hope that Juolevi would play in Europe though just for higher competition.
  3. Early in his career yes but sports is a what have you done for me lately setting. The last 5 season, Westbrook hasn't been able to put back to back 80 game seasons. This is also when Westbrook had Durant to help with the other teams best defenders, now Westbrook is going to be the main guy which would have teams put more focus on him which exerts even more pressure on the body.
  4. This year he played 80 games but throughout the past 5 seasons, he has only played more than 80 games twice. Last season he missed 15 games, the year before that 36 games. Without Durant, Westbrook can't get hurt or the Thunder are done.
  5. Westbrook is too injury prone.
  6. Next year? NBA Finals Raptors vs Warriors
  7. Personally, I'm loving it because now that Durant is in SF, you can bet the other teams are going to start scrambling to creat their own super team. You can't really fault Durant, the Thunder had a really good thing going with Harden and let him go for nothing. Management hasn't exactly tried to do too much to help Durant and Westbrook. The Thunder are now probably a non playoff team why? Because Durant carried them. Isn't that what Lebron did with the Cavs before he left?
  8. Not much different from when Lebron, Bosh and Wade joined forces.
  9. If a non number one goalie like Reimer signs for 5 years, what makes you think Eriksson would sign for less?
  10. I hate that society is getting so politically correct that I need to watch what I say in every situation. I hate that people are too easily offended and overly dramatic.
  11. Is it just me or Biega is probably starting the year in Utica.
  12. I don't think Hansen would get the proper return that his play actually dictates. If the right deal came along then yeah but I wouldn't trade Hansen for less than a late first rounder. If the Canucks were gunning for a playoff spot though, Hansen would be more valuable down the stretch than Burrows would be.
  13. Rushing the rookies when they are not ready is my problem
  14. Valuable roster spots? So drop Burrows so the Canucks can rush another rookie and screw up their development?
  15. Wouldn't Burrows be worth more as a trade chip at the trade deadline than bought out and carrying dead cap space?
  16. A buyout isn't really worth it when you consider the fact that one more year of rebuilding and the Burrows contract saves them 1.5 million dollars in actual expendetures. A 3 million actual dollar third line winger is still a bargan in today's NHL. Where else can one find a better deal? A mentor in Canuck culture. plus a trade chip during the trade deadline. Why buyout an asset? Burrows needs to stay and play with Sutter and be shift disturbers. Get back to what got him to the dance in the first place. Burrows-Sutter-Hansen/Dorsett
  17. Question: Why are undrafted college prospects such hot commodities? Weren't they undrafted for a reason?
  18. Great way to help convince Boeser to sign.
  19. Others would leave befor Burrows. All I'm saying, Burrows was far from being the worst on the ice this season.
  20. Gotta play for it, I am thinking long term as well, The thing is that Vey does not look like a future anything right now, didn't work out as a King and invisible in most games as a Canucks. Dorsett does not have the virsitility Burrows has and now with Tryamkin, Pedan, and Virtanen in the line up, Dorsett's grit is not as important as last year. Kenins, and Grenier haven't been called up most of the year even when the Canucks went through an injury riddled season so it tells you how much of thiese guys the brass actually think of them. As for McCann and Gaunce, these two players have a better potential to get us a return that can help the team right away than a 35 year old vet with a 4.5 million dollar cap hit. So McCann and Gaunce make for better barganing chips at the trade table. If not traded McCann needs a yeat in Utica for better developement. There is absolutely room for Burrows.
  21. Thing is that Dorsett, Vey, Kenins, and Grenier are players I consider more tradable and less valuable to the Canucks than Burrows.
