Bengals 2 minutes away from beating the Browns 19-14, thus giving the Titans a legitimate shot at making the playoffs if the Bengals can hold on and win.

Bengals fumble, Browns make a big play and get called on an offense interference penalty, 40 yr gain down the drain.

Thank You Bengals. I do think the Titans can win the remaining 2 games on the schedule. It just sucks that Browns get the 49ers. Hopefully the 9ers can pull of the huge upset and get the Titans in the post season. Although what will probably happen is Browns will lose to the 49ers and the Titans will lose on like a last 2nd field goal to the colts.

Really? So they should just give it to him anyways then? It was third down, so I would say it probably made a difference. There were many more examples of atrocious officiating in that game.

When the NFL actually has to circle the wagons and release a statement defending their officials, there had to have been some lack of consensus on whether the officiating was actually sound.

I am not saying that there was perfect officiating in that game. There were a couple of questionable calls. But there are questionable calls in every game, as in they could go either way. The push-off was a borderline call, as in it coule have been a penalty and it could have been a TD, I wouldn;t have been real suprised either way.

The bottom line is that I don't think these couple of questionable calls impacted the game enough to change who would have won. In the end, the Seahawks defence could not stop the Steelers when they had to.

That ridiculous holding call costing the Seahawks a touchdown was the turning point in the game in my opinion. Hasselbeck came back and threw the INT and took the even more ridiculous 15 yard penalty right after, and if I remember correctly, the Steelers scored the Randle El touchdown on the ensuing drive. Take one touchdown away from Pittsburgh and give one to Seattle and I think the game was hugely impacted. I respect your right to your opinion, and you obviously know football, but at the end of the game, I left with the firm impression that refereeing categorically cost the Seahawks the game they should and would have won.

From NFL.com

The NFL said after Tennessee's 10-6 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday it was switching Titans-Colts from 1 p.m. EST to 8:15 p.m. under the flexible schedule for late-season Sunday games. The originally scheduled Kansas City-Jets game moves to 4:15 p.m. EST.

If the Titans beat the defending Super Bowl champion Colts, they will earn the sixth seed in the playoffs. They also will get that spot if Cleveland loses at home to San Francisco in an afternoon game.

The Titans only need to beat the Colts next weekend to make the playoffs, regardless of what the Browns do next week.

I thought the Titans needed the Browns to lose to the 49ers next week, but the announcers made it clear today that the Titans are in as long as they win against the Colts.

Yeah, youtube isn't a great source for that.

Believe it or not, I'm over it, just someone talking about how they actually watch the game DVD was a horrible reminder of the agony. I didn't love the fact that they only gave out terrible towels at the game, the entire game was hyped as Jarome Bettis' Super Bowl ring, and there wasn't even a TV ad featuring a Seahawks player until the end of the 3rd quarter (there'd already been about a half dozen Steelers ads). It just left me bitter at the time.

Not sure if Im a happy camper. The fact that the Steelers have clincehd the division because of the potential tiebreaker brought a smile to my face, but Im equally pissed at how the Browns played so sloppy today and me losing 200 dollars for betting on them straight up.
