Gretzky's Mullet
Not sure if Im a happy camper. The fact that the Steelers have clincehd the division because of the potential tiebreaker brought a smile to my face, but Im equally pissed at how the Browns played so sloppy today and me losing 200 dollars for betting on them straight up. Innovative
Really? So they should just give it to him anyways then? It was third down, so I would say it probably made a difference. There were many more examples of atrocious officiating in that game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reaction_to_o...n_Super_Bowl_XL When the NFL actually has to circle the wagons and release a statement defending their officials, there had to have been some lack of consensus on whether the officiating was actually sound. TigerWilliams
ugh. I knew the Browns would gag today. Anderson looked like a rookie out there. I'm most upset because if the Browns had clinched today, I was sure you'd see Brady Quinn starting against the 49ers. Oh well, Brownies got the 49ers at home in December. If that matchup isn't tilted in their favour I don't know what is. They are in charge of their own destiny here. Hopefully they do it.

Iron_Gland
Big thanks to the Bears with their (lopsided) victory over the Packers. If there's one thing the Cowboys needed, it was a 'meaningless' game before the playoffs. Let CB's Newman and Henry play only a few snaps and rest their lingering injuries for the rest of the game, along with other important parts of that D (Ellis, Ware, Williams, James, Tank, etc.). This also allows TO to rest without having to worry about clinching anything. Terry Glenn, if healthy, can run a few routes and get off when not needed. Hopefully Romo's thumb is fine by now, but if not, I'd give the ball to Johnson. Can't take any risks in an away game at 13-2. But then they also have a bye week, and you don't want guys to get rusty going into the playoffs, or going in on a losing note. Tough decisions, but with how injuries have been piling up for us in the past couple games, I wouldn't risk anything more vs the Skins on their outdoors field. vancanfan
From PackersNews.com On New Year's Eve last year, Brett Favre stood on Soldier Field choked up while talking about possibly having just finished his last game in the NFL. Now, the subject of Favre retiring isn't even on the radar of the Green Bay Packers. The team is conducting business like it expects Favre to return in 2008 for his 17th season as its starting quarterback. A source close to Favre said this week while he can't know exactly what's going on in Favre's mind, the 38-year-old is having more fun this year than perhaps ever in his career, and that he'd be stunned if Favre doesn't come back next season. tomdavie
man, do the Dolphins ????ing suck or what? New England is just killing them. I don't know what Miami thinks Bill Parcels can do to help their terrible team.

Innovative
Let's go Chargers! Please cover for me tonight. I'd also love to see the Chargers take the 3rd spot in the AFC. I think the Jags will beat their first round opponent, hopefully it'll be the Steelers.
gmen81
whats the deal with the Titans and Browns for the final wild card spot? I know if Titans win they are in for sure, no matter what Cleveland does. If they both win they have 10-6 records and I guess Tennessee has the tiebreaker. Where Im confused is, they say if Tennessee loses they are out, but what if Cleveland also loses. Shouldn't Tennessee get the final spot anyways? They would both have 9-7 records. Or is everyone assuming the Browns will beat the 49ers. Im seriously cannot wait for the Sunday Nighter. Although what if the Browns lose does it make that game meaningless. Lets say the Browns do win, do you think the Colts will play there starters for the most of the game or rest Manning and others. Well I just figured out the answer to my own question. Tennessee must win. If they lose they are out, because Cleveland will have the better conference record. So I am going to sporting my Titans gear for sure next Sunday Night. gmen81
1 week left in my loser pool. Who should I take out of the following teams Giants who play the Pats. Giants have alreay gotten there spot locked up so they might rest some players. Also I think the Pats want to finish the season undefeated so they might play there starters a bit more. Texans to lose the Jags. Im not sure what Jacksonville can do, but I think they might have a chance to move spots and might start the starters for most of the game. Raiders to lose to Chargers. Again Im not sure if the Chargers can move spots but they have been killing teams lately and I feel they can be a threat in playoffs. Falcons to lose to Seahawks. Seahawks are a mystery team and I know they are stuck in the 3rd slot in the NFC, I think I might stay clear of this just for safety reasons. Anyways out of those teams who do you think is my best bet to lose.

Cooke_Hart
out of the 4 teams that don't have a BYE the Seahawks are the only team that will give the Packers and Cowboys the most problems. Seahawks defense is on top of the league. if Alexander can run like he did against Ravens, they have a good chance at beating the Packers. That said the Seahawks would need to have a running game to beat the Packers in the cold at Lambeau field.
Chocalate Milk
the vikes still have to worry about getting in before being any threat to Cowboys or Packs. Seahakws lost to Bears in OT by a field goal last season in which they aren't playing as good as they are right now.
