Cookle Hart and Eternal Captain you 2 guys are the biggest Seahawks haters around. You guys can keep rooting against them but they will win and there is no chance some no name QB is gonna go in Qwest and win. The Redskins suck dick. The Seahawks will easily win and win big becuase they are the defending champions. If I wasn't that drunk right now I would really give you 2 a piece of my mind and you to. Seahawks bvaby woooo.

Why is this thread so dead going into Wildcard weekend? Anyways, my thoughts on each game this week:

Jacksonville @ Pittsburgh

I am liking Jacksonville in this one. Pittsburgh highly depended on Willie Parker to set up the entire offence, and they will have a heck of a time running the ball against the very tough Jaguars defence. The battle that I am looking forward to watching the most is the Jags excellent RB tandum trying to run against the Steelers 3rd rank rush defence (#1 of playoff teams). But I will give the edge to Jacksonville on that one. It will be interested to see how Rothlisberger will respond to having the offence on his shoulders.

Tennessee @ San Diego

As much as I like VY and the Titans, LT and the San Diego offence has been nothing short of unstoppable since week 4. I'm taking the Chargers. reports are saying the Vince Young is a game-time decision, and LenDale White is also questionable for the game. I don't think that the Titans defence can contain LT enough to give the mediocre offence a chance, even with both those guys. Without one or both of them, this game will be a blowout.

Washington @ Seattle

Seattle wins at home (7-1) and Washington doesn't win on the road (4-4). If this game is in Washington, I am taking the 'skins. But it ain't, so the Seahawks should win. Hasselback has been hot in the second half of the season, and he goes so does the Hawks offence. Washington could pull it off if they can find a way to stop the pass, because the running game has been less than desirable. And I don't buy all this "team of destiny" crap for Washington, and playing off of the loss of Sean Taylor can only go so far.

NY Giants @ Tampa Bay

I have flip-flopped on this game so many times. The Giants have been so two-faced, and it starts with Eli Manning. He has done some very good things and some very bad things this year. But I expect the good Eli to show up when he is needed (for once). Tampa bay has been poor at home (3-5) and have lost 3 of their last 4 games. I think I am going with the Giants on this one.

Good Post!

I agree with you about the Redskins "Team of Destiny" thing too. It's sad that he died, but that really has very little to do with football. It reminds me a bit of the 2001 World Series, where all the Yankees fans had the Desti-NYPD signs expecting that somehow karma would repay them for 9/11 with a World Series win. As if professional sports somehow can match the realm of importance of something like that. Same thing with the post-Katrina Saints, or even the Virginia Tech Hokies in the Orange Bowl yesterday. Is it wrong that I'm actually kind of happy when these teams fail, because I find it so annoying that a sports teams fortunes should be tied into the tragedies their fans have experienced?

Some Titans notes:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Titans will be without top receiver Roydell Williams for the first round of the playoffs after he broke his right ankle in practice Wednesday.

Indiana State standout Jamie Petrowski might play for the Titans.

The Titans have already lost top tight end Bo Scaife after he suffered a lacerated liver

in last week's win at Indianapolis.

Running back LenDale White was back with the team after being excused the past

two days of practice because of the death of his grandmother.

He didn't practice Friday because of a sore knee but is expected to start

after running for 1,110 yards.
