What defines a "bad career". His first season he threw 12 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. His team, a run first team, made it into the playoffs. He went on the road to two division champions home stadiums, played very well which is indisputable, then lost in the AFC Championship game to a very good Colts team.

The following year he has 17 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. A visible improvement. Not only that but he led his team to 6 game winning drives in the 4th quarter. The Jets once again went on the road to two division champions stadiums. Beat the defending AFC Champions, led by a game winning drive by Sanchez. The next week they went into the stadium of what many people thought would be the Superbowl Champions and led by a great performance from Sanchez beat the Patriots. The following week Sanchez almost lead a comeback from a 24 point deficit to win, but fell short.

This year he's thrown 9 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Improving on completion % and QB rating.

I really don't understand your argument, because based on statistics thus far, he has progressed every year he's been in the league.

And yes, a run-first team would hurt the development of a quarterback. Emphasizing the run would limit the passes being thrown, thus limiting the growth bubble for a quarterback.

Many quarterbacks who have been in the league years longer than Sanchez have yet to even win one playoff game: Matt Ryan, Carson Palmer, Matt Schuab, including two QB's drafted in the same year as him: Matt Stafford and Josh Freeman. As well as QBs that have won only one playoff game: Tony Romo

maybe the generality of wins, which does matter most, his TEAM has been good, but with his numbers, i would lean more to the fact that his team has won in spite of him

if u look at his playoff games, the games he has done well in they have lost, and the ones he crap the bed they have won, haha thats pretty backwards imo, thus the defence is the only reason they r in games

i 100% disagree that being run first would hurt a qb, it stands to reason that if a d is expecting run it would open up the field for a qb

pitt is run first team, look at roethlisbergers success, baltimore is, flacco has improved every year, most teams will run first with a young qb

im not sure anyone who watches football would put sanchez ahead of any of the qbs u meantioned solely on the fact he has one playoff games, cuz really that doesnt define how good a qb is, maybe palmer now, but certainly not in his prime, all the qbs u meantioned r better than sanchez and would b taken ahead of him if, hypothetically, there was a draft for todays players

maybe the term "bad career" was the wrong thing to say, but i did say below average qb, which he is, and his "career" numbers bare that out

Rams QB Bradford to miss Cowboys game with ankle sprain

Associated Press - 10/22/2011 2:01:30 PM

ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Rams have ruled out quarterback Sam Bradford for this week's game at Dallas.

Bradford has a high left ankle sprain and did not practice all week.

He had been listed as questionable before Saturday, when the winless Rams also signed quarterback Tom Brandstater from the practice squad.

The Rams also waived wide receiver Nick Miller.

Bradford was hurt near the end of last week's loss at Green Bay.

A.J. Feeley will start against the Cowboys.

I'm really glad you used Rothlisberger as an example. Because he regressed in his third year. Yet has been successful. In fact, he played terrible in their first Super Bowl win.

Your comment about his performance in the playoffs is entirely incorrect, if you actually go and look at the stats you'll see. Especially last years game against the Patriots.

I'm not saying they would put him ahead. In fact that proves my point. All those quarterbacks are seen as being better. Yet Mark Sanchez has proven to be more clutch when it counts. Unlike them.

The entire argument is that Sanchez a crapty qb and his defence makes up for it,, u list half dozen qbs and they are all better than Sanchez and that proves your point??

Take this season for example, jest d is trash and the are not doin well, case in point

And if u go look at the stats u will c that my point was correct, Sanchez has has some terrible playoff games and they have still won, it's about 50/50

And 1 anomole by big Ben isn't a Regression

2010 v colts 64 rating - win

2010 v pit 102 rating - loss

2009 v SD 60 rating - win

2009 v colts 93 rating - loss

entirely incorrect??? haha u need to look up the definition of entirely dude, 4/6 is more accurate than 2/6, but i guess a sanchez lover sees 2/6 as a good thing??

Totally forgot the QB rating was a fool-proof and entirely accurate way of showing the performance of a player. There are no flaws in the QB rating. No one has ever questioned the QB rating and its accuracy. Sorry, you win.

I also love how you leave out the Patriots game.

Since were on the subject of quarterbacks, why don't we address the awesome quarterback the Ravens.

7 playoff games, 4-3.

vs. MIAMI DOLPHINS - 9/23 135 yds, 0 td.

vs TENNESSEE TITANS - 11/22 161 yds, 1 td.

vs Pittsburgh Steelers - 13/30 141 yds, 3 interceptions.

vs NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS - 4/10 34 yds, 1 interception.

vs INDIANAPOLIS COLTS - 20/35 189 yds, 2 interceptions.

vs KANSAS CITY CHIEFS - 25/34 265 yds, 2 tds.

vs PITTSBURGH STEELERS - 16/30 125 yds, 1 td 1 interception

Flacco - 7 games - 53 % completion, 4 td 7 int. "61 rating"

Sanchez - 6 games - 61% completion, 9 td 3 int. "94 rating"

It's also funny because Sanchez has an equal number of Comeback Game-Winning drives as Flacco, who has an extra year under his belt.
