I think it is near impossible for him to live up to ALL the hype. I see him being, like you said, just like Brian Westbrook. In a few years time, he will be one of the best all-round backs in the league. He will go to a few pro bowls, run for 1500 yards a bunch of times, and maybe win a ring or two.

Billick: Jets 'illegally' simulated snap count on Sunday

Associated Press

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Ravens coach Brian Billick accused the New York Jets of using an "illegal" ploy to draw Baltimore offside during Sunday's game.

Billick said Monday that the Jets' defense shouted out signals to intentionally throw off the Baltimore offense. Billick claimed the tactic led to the three illegal procedure penalties against the Ravens.

"They did an outstanding job. I credit the New York Jets. Their defensive line and linebackers did a very, very effective job of illegally simulating the snap count," Billick said. "They did it the whole game long. It needs to be caught."

Tackle Adam Terry bolted offside in the first and third quarters. Tight end Quinn Sypniewski jumped in the first quarter.

"That's not an excuse by any stretch of the imagination. But it is illegal," Billick said. "Our guys have to deal with it. I don't know how to help my linemen with that because, you're in the heat of battle and you're calling the snap count, and the guy across from you is also calling a snap count - which is illegal."

so..how much coverage will this get..oh wait, none, its the jets. This had an influence on the game, what the pats did didn't even help them that game..woww..

Wow, here comes the bandwagoner pats fan trying to make the Jets seem like the cheaters now. Video-taping signals? Or yelling something out. THAT THE REFS CAN HEAR? And your lame attempt at a joke by saying "the jets won't get any coverage because..well there the jets" last time I checked we have a better fanbase then you guys. Half of our fans didn't just start cheering for the team 3-4 years ago.

and..

If Billick knew they were doing it from the sidelines, wouldn't a ref actually notice during the game? Considering they usually have a guy that stands right between the LBs and the Dbs. It's guy that sometimes gets his hat knocked off by a pass or crushed in a running play.... if the refs aren't calling penalties you take advantage of it. It's part of being a smart player. IF his guys noticed or complained about it to him he would have made it a point to let the refs know.

ALSO Billick is clearly going after Mangenius because Billick is part of the old boy's coach network. These old jerks can't deal with Mangini coming out and being HONEST for a change and stopping the hijinks of the NFL so they're just making up stuff and blowing it out of proportion to stop the Jets and hurt Mangini.

you can call me what ever you want, but I'm gonna say what everyone else told me the last week, "cheating is cheating"

video-taping signals that did NOTHING in the game..or causing a penalty illegally which could end a 4th quarter drive.etc.
