No, not at all.

Ea's sales are saying that a majority of PS3 owners play sports games ( I guess since that's all it has to offer )

It isn't somewhat similar, at all.

EA focuses on sports MAINLY(not all games, but mainly) Sports being racing games, hockey, basketball etc.

Activison focuses a lot of action/shooter games (again, not all, but mainly)

Now genius, should I call you Einstein, or do you like being genius?

Here's a chart to explain things more properly:

As you can see, the PS3 software comprises 18.6% of the total console revenue. Your figures or Denrik's are quite different.

I don't have a chart, but Activision's first quarterly report for 2009 indicates that their PS3 software has already earned them 131M out of a total console revenue of 503M. In other words, the PS3 software sales have increased from last year's 18.6% to 26.0%.

~luongo~ doesn't realize that PS3 sells higher in Europe like the Wii and DS do in Japan

and because of Euro prices for games being higher (for games like COD, Prototype, Gutiar hero, etc) Activision makes more money there on there GAME sales

also the comment on EA only making sports games is stupid, most international devs, marketers, publishers, and distributor of video games have differnet divisions, EA has EA Sports as there sports division.

heres a detailed list

As you can see below EA makes a lot more than just sports titles (god bless BioWare)

EA Games—Home to the largest number of studio and development teams, this label is responsible for action-adventure, role playing, racing and combat games, marketed under the EA brand. In addition to traditional packaged-goods games, EA Games also develops massively-multiplayer online role-playing games. Led by Frank Gibeau.

Visceral Games (formerly EA Redwood Shores)

EA Los Angeles (formerly Westwood Studios)

EA Montreal

BioWare

EA Digital Illusions CE

Pandemic Studios

EA Black Box

Maxis

EA Phenomic

Criterion Games

Mythic Entertainment

EA Sports—Publishes all the realistic, casual, and freestyle sports-based titles from EA, including FIFA Soccer, Madden NFL, Fight Night, NBA Live, NCAA Football, NCAA March Madness, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, NHL Hockey, NASCAR and Rugby. Led by Peter Moore.

  • EA Tiburon (Florida)

  • EA Canada (Vancouver)

  • EA Sports Big (San Francisco)

  • EA-NC (North Carolina)

EA Casual Entertainment—Creates and publishes casual games for gamers and non-traditional gamers. Includes EA's Pogo online service Pogo.com(online games site, with numerous EA brand tie-ins), EA Hasbro, and EA Mobile(mobile phone and iPod games, previously JAMDAT). Led by Kathy Vrabeck.

the one where you skate backwards towards the net then turn and roof it top corner once your body is right in front of the goalie

do you know if it's a glitch goal? I'm not totally sure to be honest
