The point is, Activision is full of it, they are not dropping support as they make a whackload of money as it is. Plus, like I said, the money Activision makes off the PS3/PSP is a huge chunk, while Activision games make up only a small fraction of Sony software sales. If this was EA making the threats, maybe Sony would listen, but even then EA would be stupid to drop their biggest Console revenue generator.

I used EA and Ubisoft because I didn't have Activision numbers on hand, but HTM posted them and only further proved my point.

Also, when the PS2 was crap kicking the Gamecube and Xbox on levels the Wii could only dream of, they were still making GC and XBox versions of those games. I didn't see any companies threatening to drop support then. (although the GC occasionally got the shaft)

Lastly, Activision whining about the issue doesn't help anyway. Rumors and predictions of pricecuts only have negative effects, since they can suppress sales since people my wait for a price cut that isn't coming. Sony is likely cutting the price of the console sometime this year, but you cannot announce it well ahead of time as that will see sales drop as people wait for the cut. You only see announcements well ahead of time for a release of a new SKU, because then they usually cut the price of the older SKU as well and want to clear out old stock. (thus causing a sales spike for the cheaper older SKU that bleeds into the release of the new SKU. This is what they did with phasing out the 20GB and introducing the 80GB)

I drafted a guy named Oleg Saprykin on NHL 09. Just throwing it out there, since I drafted him right after I read one of your posts.

I also drafted a defenceman named Alexander Ovechkin, :D . Pretty stupid if you ask me.

I'm pretty sure the names rotate farther down the line. Like last month in my NHL 09 be a pro, the Canucks added some young guy who was 18 and named Wade Datsyuk

It's 2021 BTW

I'm pretty sure there is a thread on the EA forums about players like that. I think the names get regenerated after 2 years because obviously there is no way EA can put real players in the draft.
